I ran into a couple of these guys up at Damerells the other day, not unfriendly but I thought they looked abit odd all patched up. https://widowssonssw.co.uk/the-earl-of-st-germans-lodge-7031/ I thought that was the preserve of Hells Angel type club. I have seen a couple of others around like it too, is this a common thing nowadays? It has totally passed me by I was just not aware. It's just that I got a notification from them on FaceBook and went to there webpage out of interest. I am not Masonic and patched up cosplay isn't really my thing so don't want to join anything like it but is this the way things are going now?

Funnily enough I have been in all of those groups. I left the Elderberries in February, good bunch of lads but I was just overcommitted. All acapella harmony singing tho mate, no budding Eric Clapton's. Well the Wreckers may abuse some instruments but definitely no rock. I think we have a Female line dancing group turning up as well to sing and dance which is going to be interesting to say the least. They are not on the poster because it was a last minute thing.

I have a manic weekend coming up as my singing group is holding a music festival/event up at the rugby club. Spent several hours last night setting things up. Much more going on as well as the singing but I am only involved in the singing side. I am supposed to be working tonight but I don't think I have a clinician so may not have to go in but haven't had the word yet. Tomorrow I have to be up the club for 2:00pm which will be squeaky if I have to work but easy if not. Sunday night working for sure. Plus I also have obsessively cleaned both my bikes today

Just had a blast up to Dameralls to give the Hornet a run. Of course my Shadow had to come and be fed. Nice CBF1000 parked outside. We had a look around the showroom but they must have sold loads of stock mostly new current range stuff. Of course Shadow didn’t want her photo taken then proceeded to walk into everyone and scowl at me. Stroppy as always.

I think that is spot on and I do think the same will be true with budget mainstream cars and commercials.

My youngest works in a bakery, at the end of the day the staff are told take whatever you want home as the day’s leftovers go in the bin. I said I wouldn’t mind a pasty if you get the chance. Typical of her, over the top. Now the freezer is full

It will have to be lowered for her to ride it, she can't touch the floor, I know small people do but she hasn't that skill yet.

52 litres baby, Shad tastic, well Givi but you get the point. Probably never use it but it came with the bike.

To be honest I think all three of those bikes are stunning, but I have no ambition to own anything like it, I do appreciate the looks and sound of them. Being around the guys when they are riding has convinced me I want no part of the vibes, crap brakes, agricultural gearboxes, constant reliability issues, and general hassle to ride and own them. Give me a quick, reliable, vibe free bike with good brakes, anytime, to ride. I'll let my mates suffer the rigors of riding such things.

It belongs to my mate Martyn but I don't know much about it, the number plate tells me its a 96/97 and he told me it is 1340cc but apart from it sounding really nice I have no idea what it is.

From what I have seen of that guy he is just a greedy broker trying to make every penny.

Booked into Colin Flashman's Motorcycles for Michelin Road 5's £232 for the set fitted.

Been a busy day, took my middle daughter out to catch her college busy at 6:30, then walked the dog. Got the youngest up and we rode up to Colin Flashman Motorcycles at Gunnislake to book my CB600 in for new tyres. They can’t fit me in until Friday week but they quoted £232 for a set of Michelin Road 5’s which is bloody good. Cheapest I could find a set online was £250. Of course I had to take my shadow for a sausage sandwich, her staple diet, afterwards. Where she told how much she fancied the mechanic at Flashmans FFS. Poor chap Then I wanted to go up to Kitt hill for a mooch, Shadow was totally disinterested Then we had a blast down the A30 to Bodmin and home. Did about 80 miles in total. CB600 riding well but I can’t wait for the new rubber.

It goes back before engines and such, it was kept as sail only in to preserve the oyster beds in the river Fal basin. @Pedro Falmouth working boats can be no longer than 28 feet although some are less. Victory looks bigger in that painting because there are no crew aboard for perspective. Also she has been modified over the years, that painting is 39 years old, pretty sure she doesn't have a splash deck anymore. https://fwba.co.uk/galleries/ https://nmmc.co.uk/2023/08/the-history-of-falmouths-working-boats/
