I hadn't thought of that, that makes good sense. Can't imagine it will cost me much to insure it in the interim until she is 17, which is 7 months away yet.
-
Hopefully she will, she has road sense and has been riding horses on the road for 2 years. I am basking in the glow of best Dad Ever! but that won't last long, I am sure I will be that grumpy twat again soon enough

She is over the moon with it as it is exactly what she wanted down to the colour. I was really lucky to find it only 6 miles down the road. She wanted a Red CBF125 which is what we looked at up at Damerells on Wednesday just gone. Anyway we talked and I was going to sort a new one for her closer to her birthday. In the mean time this 23 plate one popped up on ebay , 7 months old for £1850 as opposed to £3149 new. It was a repo that was cat N written off for cosmetic damage at 4 months old. It has several scuff and dings but nothing that can't be touched up and a few bits here and there and it will look good. In fact it's not that bad now even though every panel is marked. But with a 17 year old owner it will get scrapes at some point. Only covered 2100 miles. I am going to contact Damerells as it may still be under warranty but no big deal if it's not. It rode great home even with my fat arse on it.

Found the perfect bike for my youngest yesterday bought it and rode it home for her today. It’s now locked away until she is 17, but I am gonna see if I can borrow a bike trailer so she can learn to ride it on private ground.

Pissing down in Launceston, going home in 10 minutes. Going to look at a CBF125 later for my daughter.

My Mrs insists on buying her own cars, fuck me has that cost money over the years. The X3 she's got now had to have a cam chain and clutch/flywheel 3 months after buying and out of warranty. She bought a purple Picarsehole that lunched its head gasket not long after buying and then had a collapsed rear axle six months later, at the time all the other Yummie Mummies had them. She traded my lovely old Volvo V70 for that piece of wank because Volvos are for old men. . She has a champagne taste but a cider budget. For what she paid for the X3 and repairs she could have got a really nice recent Jazz or the like but according to her that wouldn't fit in up the stables. The list goes on and on. Every time it happens she says I have to chose the next car but she just can't let me do it. I have had my E46 for five years, and apart from tyres and servicing I have had to buy one coil pack. Its an old Jalopy but had just 60K on it when I bought it from a retired BMW tech who was going electric. Not saying I am some sort of car guru but I have more sense than she has, dizzy mare.

Seems like the smart move, plenty of better options for 10K.

Don't keep that a secret I love reading about that sort of stuff. I have a real thing for all things older BMW.
-
Lovely, good colour and 2 door as well. Comes from the era when BMW aimed to sell the ultimate driving machines, Very Cool.

Get your money back now. I can see that car being a ball ache long term. Just feel it in my water

Working overnight tonight and Sunday night. Saturday weather is shit but may get out this afternoon as the weather is looking good.

You've had your feisty pill this morning. Was it Blue?

Whose trolling now Negatron
-
You haven't got to buy every bike you like? Anyway I thought he was the font of all biking knowledge for you!
-
Don’t think so he’s been on this morning.
-
Who's been squabbling? missed that completely.
-
She is ok now, problem is we are as bad as each other, sometimes I can be a bit grumpy which doesn't help.
-
Cheers mate, Almost hate to say it, but Neevesy likes that POS. Whose opinion should I take his or yours?

I would love to get away with buying her a tidy CG but she wants a cool bike (like mine, her words) I have not been able to convince her a CG looks like a Hornet. I would like her to have an XR125 or similar but she won’t have it I have also had chapter and verse about the cool riding gear and look she is going for. Nearly no bike at all after earlier. Had a blazing row with her today, it’s that time of the month when some women go absolutely mental, add ADHD and teenage angst into 5’1” package and you can form a picture. She is the youngest and the Apple of my eye but I could have happily throttled her today. All good now but I am too old for hormonal teenagers . We are both too alike with low flash points, makes for some epic fall outs.

Remind me the last time you rode your bike?

Just thinking about it, twas a joy to go out today in my Leather, jeans and open face, just so much lighter and less restrictive than normal gear. Also on the plus side the increased vision from an open face . Much prefer it when the weather allows.

Well the sun is out here for a change so I decided to take my bike out for a mooch around Damerells motorcycles. My youngest is 17 in a few months and desperately wants a bike so I went up to do a bit of research about CBT’s and 125cc bikes. Just seeing the lie of the land so to speak. The practical choice for her would be a Honda CB125F, still affordable and not some chinky that will dissolve before her eyes. Back along when my boy got his ped I asked the salesman why there aren’t many second hand ones out there and his answer was that most if the Chinese brands don’t last long enough to go to a second owner. Anyway this is what I am looking at for her, has to be red too according to her. I‘ve told her she has to be working before I buy it and that she will have to pay me back. Sound harsh I know but she and my other two have to live in the real world and understand the cost and value of stuff. Chores done I got chance to looked at the shiny stuff. Nice looking Harley in the sold line I must admit I liked this one. Know nothing about them at all but I do like the look of it Hornet 500 and 750 side by side, I’m not sure why but the 750 appeared smaller in the flesh , probably to do with the angle of lean on the side stand I do like the look of these NT1100’s it sure I would have a use for one but cool work horse. Now this is gonna trigger Shad Man but I do like the look of the new RE Bullit and Shot Gun. Not sure I would spend my money on one but I love the look of them I like this too, big brute of a bike 2017 CB500x with 100 miles on the clock, there is a story behind that I have revised my opinion of these, I thought they were a bit bulbous originally but with this paint scheme I think it’s cool as hell. Now this I would buy if I hand money to burn. They had 5 x CB650R’s in the showroom Didn’t like the look of the exhaust pipe on this CB125R Several people at Damerells today My favourite bike of the day.

Properly cleaned my car today, first time in coming on for two years given we had a hosepipe ban for most of that time. The old jalopy scrubs up well Then got the bike out for a bimble up to Damerells I’ll put some pictures up of the pretty things on a different thread.
