That's a lot of bike for the money.

I will now the weather has turned more clement. Quite pleasant and dry out there today.

The little square I live in is being dug up to fit a new gas main. Its fucking caos out there at the moment. The lads doing it are as good as gold but its a pain nonetheless. Been out fitting some hand guards to my boys scoot as he has been freezing his tits and fingers off coming home from work. Also managed to drop his scoot on ice last night. All low speed, he is actually quite sensible on the roads, and there is only couple of mild scuff on top of scuffs that were already there. I cleaned and checked his bike over before I did the handguards. Budget chinky stuff is definitely built down to a price. Also put the topbox plate on my Hornet and gave it a wipe over, tyre pressures, oil, chain and other maintenance.

It's what one of my mates rides. I think it is a lovely looking and sounding bike. I have never sat on it but it looks tall and heavy, but then again so is he . He is also bent out of shape that my little Hornet has more BHP, not that it matters in the real world but it irks him Also another of our group has a V7 stone. Now I could see myself on that, lovely looking retro bike. Oh as an aside I rode a Le Mans Mk1 one back in the 80's and I loved it. Felt very fast as I remember, sounded awesome but I remember the gearbox being a bit of a pig, twas a long time ago. I loved the little sideways flick or rock it did when you blipped the throttle. I always fancied a V50 back in the day.

Don’t understand the fascination but here you go fill your boots or whatever else you want to do.

The chill blain chapter set off from Fowey at 9:00am and 0.5c to Kitt Hill bike meet this morning. Very slippery roads but ok as long as we were sensible, and we were. I was the youngest there at 58. Bloody cold for me with heated grips the others just whinged Good turn out really considering the cold. Louis, the cafe, do good grub and after tea and fry up we thawed out and looked at the bikes.

A 70 year old chap I know came back from Turkey with teeth like that, he looked like a character from a Wallace and Gromit movie.

Me to, spent hours on Par and Fowey docks when I was a kid. Not many people seem to have time for that sort of thing anymore.
