Out and about this morning with the Dear Boy. Only Winsen left in the bay this morning. Celtic Endeavour is in the port up on No 8 jetty. Look for the green dot in the river, that is CE.

I am lucky my Honda dealer is as good as gold. I do get what you are saying though, I have done just that for years it's just I have the new bike bug, I don't want to tinker I just want to press the button and go at the moment. I am sure I will get off the new bike treadmill at some point. I actually want a VFR800 to go with my Hornet but I know for me having more than one bike is a slippery slope. Cause then I would want a CRF and a and maybe a beta and another aircooled Beamer, etc etc. Oh and I love the new Triumphs and would really like one, but some many bikes so little time

Yep, don't know where though. He did tell me but it was in one ear out the other.

Funnily enough that's where I am at the moment, I got 3 months free with an Apple purchase. I liked the Greyhound with Tom Hanks, I am working through Invasion but not even sure I like that. I think I will go back to For All Mankind which I thought was ok. Not overly impressed with Apple TV, can't imagine paying for it.

Me neither now, I will never darken their door again. If that is how they treat you when you want to spend money imagine the response if you had a problem with the bike. I was told but didn't listen about the Plymouth Dealership. A mate of mine dropped his new Tiger in spain and smashed it up. The next time he went into Plymouth to replace the smashed Tiger the salesman shouted across the showroom room: "Here he is for another Tiger, I wonder if it will last more than two weeks this time". He walked and went and bought a Ducati Multistrada.

Yeah they wouldn't see the irony in that. Triumph of Plymouth offered me a full £800 less than I got on a trade in for my CB500 against my Hornet. I was looking at either a Trident 660 or possibly a Tiger 660. Like you say they can sell pretty much everything they have so they take the piss big time. Also with me they refused to confirm the offer in an email and said the offer was dependant on a full inspection in the workshop of my bike. So I can bet they would have tried to pay less. Plus they were just fucking rude. There I feel better now I have that off my chest

I think they were just out of stock. The CB500 ones came in 2 or 3 days.

Yeah it's a SW Motech rack and pannier frames Ordered on the 26th of October and finally just turned up.

My mate must have asked for the risers then as the bike is new out the box. I didn't ask him how much the bike cost, but he aint short of a quid. Not that interested really but good for him if it makes him happy

Give it chance, there will be wet later

I know it mate, I often thought of selling up and moving inland but when you have the stunning countryside and views, within 15 mins walk, that we have it is hard to leave. Mind you in summer I could quite happily ditch Fowey to get away from the Holibobs.

Just been out with the Dear Boy. Lovely crisp winters morning. It’s great to be out of holiday season. The hooray’s will be here soon enough to spoil Christmas. The same boats still at anchor. I looked at the shipping app I have and they are awaiting orders. Fowey Titties Empty river

That chap has just bought another, RE Fury which is an old style bullit 500 with some fibreglass body work. That makes 5 bikes now and not one has turned a wheel in a month. I might pop up a see him later for a chat and get some photos.

No he is a different fella. He is a good mate so I was pleased for him even though it’s not my type of thing. He had a ridiculous orange Victory before hand so he is coming back to the light. He had an XSR 900 before so there is hope.
-
Just got a message from my mate. He has just bought this. I know it’s a Harley but not much else, oh and he doesn’t want to get it dirty so he is not going for a ride until it dries up. To be honest it does look a fecker to clean. I am going to have a look at it in the flesh soon.

I had a very similar experience with Plymouth Triumph.

Thinking back amongst my biking mates bikes they sort of came in groups. There were several GS250T’s but only one GSX250 that had a Dunstall pipe and fairing. Loads of RD250D/E’s one KH250 Loads of CB250N’s and one X7 all L plate specials. I suppose we bought whatever Damerells and Jacob’s Suzuki sold in numbers. When passing our tests some went 2 smoke Yams and others went GS550E others CX500A mostly but there was the odd other bike. I do remember Kawasakis were pretty thin on the ground. The way the roads here were and to some extent still are it was all point and squirt stuff never getting much past 60 before running out of room. Very favourable to the smokes. If we ventured as far as Liskeard by pass or Plymouth things evened up a bit. I also remember the next bunch of lads below us in age all had GP100s DT’s and TS’s. Like a load of noisy smoky wasps, caught by the new 125 L plate laws.

I watched the first couple of episodes.

Just watched Easy Rider again for the first time in years. That film hasn’t aged well, although the music was good.

350LC was 47 bhp same as your CB. Quite a bit lighter though. I remember my mate trading his LC for a Powervavle, that was a whole different animal. I also remember trying and failing to stay with them on my RD400D. The GS550 and CX500 were popular around here then, they were no match for the LC’s.
