Theym all clickbaiting nowadays. Dumbing down and sensationalization gets attention.

I really could go for one of these again, I had one but mine was nowhere near as nice as this. Been gently modded by the looks of it. Love the nod to the original R500 with the indicators in the handlebar ends. Lovely old aircooled engine with good handling, brakes, electrics and a half decent gearbox, best air cooled boxer to live with. What's not to love. Mine was this colour, mine had 6 owners before me and none of them gave a fuck about it and it showed. I gave it up as a bad job in the end, just couldn't afford to get it running right. I have a photo of it somewhere on a old HDD I will try and dig it out.

I do get that now but at the time I was looking enviously at them I was riding a 1978 R100RS that was heavy as fuck and handled like a pig, plus also didn't stop that well and had a tractors gearbox. But apart from that I loved it

I always liked the 900 Divi with the shaft. CBR600 cool bit of kit to.

The Spanish Police take no prisoners. I remember when the Catalans held a separation referendum a few years ago, the Police were pretty heavy handed then to. That was quite disturbing actually.

Weird fucking day, got a phone call this morning telling me my other uncle has sepsis which it doesn't look like he will recover from. Dangerous time of year for my male relatives. On a positive My Boy, who is 19 with several issues, as a result of his past and other stuff started his 3rd day on his McJob, which he likes. Doesn't sound much but believe me for us it's huge, to think he can and probably will become a positive member of society and finally make a life for himself. Something that has been in doubt for years. Been playing bikes to cheer myself up, been a roller coaster of a day.

My last Jack russell had seven toes on one hind leg and six and a bit on the other, we had them chopped off when she had her dew claws done. She was an absolute extreme psycho killer, even by Jack Russell standards, Never had any vermin, or anything else, around the place when we had her.

This thread, about wanking, was way south before Pete got his trotters out.

Those feet are quite disturbing If that is the standard perhaps I should get an only fans set up for my pudgy trotters

I have seen some weird shit on here, but this thread is right up there

I am seriously tempted by this engine guard and bars from SW Motech, https://sw-motech.co.uk/collections/engine-guard/products/front-spoiler-honda-cb750-hornet-22 But I don't know if I really need it, probably not. I am also tempted to get a screen but I am concerned it will mess up the airflow around my head. Currently the bike is pretty quiet at 70 mph and I don't want to lose that. I have a SW Motech rack and panniers mounts on order, when they come I think I will stop there, although I do have a Lubeman chain oiler on the shelf.

I think peak torque is around 6500 rpm and peak power around 8500 rpm on the CB500 motor, I don't see the point in revving the shit out of it constantly. A good thrash now and again shouldn't hurt it but don't understand why you would need to do it all the time or why that would be a positive thing to do.
-
It will but I wouldn't get to hung up on what video matey says ride normally, don't lug (really low revs in high gear) your bike and all should be fine. He is right technically.

Your Mrs seems pretty capable mate

2024 Honda CB500 Hornet, NX500, and CBR500R
Saul replied to Hugh Janus's topic in MOTORCYCLE REVIEWS
Just an up date by the look at it, new dash and styling. I like the NX, looks cool. Not so keen on the R version, I think an R should actually be quick rather than just look like it. Not much to worry as the 500 range are pretty damn good bikes in the first place. -
I have been adding some stuff, which to be honest should have been there as standard. bit pissed off really as I managed to scratch the paint off the singing arm. Get some touch up at the weekend but still a pisser.

That is a stunning motor which is high on my list to.

XL600 with a sexy dress? Nice looking bike.

I’m under no illusions about the practicality of this bike but my god look at it. Just stunning and that green straight from the 1970’s. The sound they make is something to behold. Perfect for me, if I ever come into enough money to have a toy collection this would right at the top of the list. Come on then what floats your two wheeled boat so to speak. Not something you would necessarily want to ride everyday but something that just ticks the box.

Also have a trawl around Temu, and the like, there is bound to be a suitable shroud for not much.
