  1. Sure is a helluvalot of bike for £7000. I seriously thought about one, makes a lot of sense to buy and keep. It was just to heavy and tall for my stumpy legs. Plus I wanted a Hornet.
  2. I have seen them between 6600 and and 6999 for new in stock ones.
  3. The salesman at Damerells told me a similar story about the CB500 Hornet due out as well. He reckoned it was a facelift and more tech stuff but basically the same bike. The 650 Strom is a real bargain at the moment.
  4. Don't take it personally mate, my youngest daughters derision of her brother is not a dig at you
  5. True, be nice not to have the DADDDD! can you come and get me call as well.
  6. Oh thats sounds a real pain. My employer got my DOB wrong when they set up my pension, that took months to straighten out.
  7. She was keen on a Kermit green Keeway at one point but she is switched on when it comes to money and when I told her it would be worth next to nothing when she wanted a bigger bike the Honda brainwashing gained ground. She may go off the idea but she has told me she would never ride a ped like her brother. I won't tell you what she calls him on his 'Gay ped' .
  8. Just popped up to Damerells as the owners handbook was not on the Hornet when I got it home on day one. No issue they got one for me just needed to pick it up, they offered to post it but I didn’t need any encouragement to get out on the Hornet which is now shit high again. I did notice my old CB500 was in the sold line. The salesman did his best to convince me that I should buy a CB125 for my youngest. Who desperately wants a cool black bike like mine, tis a bit of a squint to see the resemblance but it is what she is after. The spanner in the works is that she has only just turned 16 so another 12 months yet. No sale today. I would prefer her to have something second hand but she knows her mind and would use her money so I don’t have a lot of say in it

    Hornet Nest.

Yes it’s anchored to the floor.

    Hornet Nest.

Alright you feckers you shamed me into it. Not spotless but cleaner. I have got a fender extender to put on tomorrow so hopefully that will help a little.

    Hornet Nest.

I have thought about that but it has vents and I am sure it is better in there in than out in the pissing rain.

    Hornet Nest.

That's a side effect of it being ridden. I didn't buy it to look at but to ride
  13. Had to go in the loft today and found a bagful of these. Talk about a blast from the past.
  14. Got a tent to put my Hornet in to keep the worst of the weather off it.
  15. I am 58. I must come across as older
  16. I like the Viper, comfy with built in coms. Bit noisy for any sort of fast travelling but ok for local stuff.
  17. Couple of showers but nothing much. Going to be good tomorrow as well.
  18. Out for a bimble after my night shift.
  19. Daft fecker gets soaked then goes on to a very interesting Motorcycle shop.
  20. Just finished watching Stonemouth on the BBC liked that. Also The Tower series two on the BBC. Actually gotta give the Mrs her due as the new sofas she got as part of my Hornet were very comfy.
  21. More than 10% over and they will do you here.
  22. Fuck me track days, I used to do them when I first gave up rugby, in my Saabs. I had to ditch them when my kids came along, breaking cars is an expensive hobby plus I wasn't very good. Not really unhinged enough. The being part of a team and working together for a common goal was what I missed about the rugby. The adrenaline rush was there on track days but I found I needed more than that. I get that rush now from singing solos, but I am still part of the choir or one of the lads in the team so to speak.
  23. I struggled with that when I had to give up. I tried lots of things but luckily found choir which for me filled the void. Not suggesting you try that but enjoy your rugby while you can and do what is needed to to keep your mental health on an even keel.
