  1. It doesn't look as nice in real life. I was looking over one a few weeks ago parked next to an original 1100 Katana, looked a bit shit TBH. Bit like the retro Z900, looks good in the photos but a bit bulbous in the flesh.
  2. She still has it but wanted something more reliable and suitable for what she is doing. Her SV650 is pretty old and has been used hard. I think it was off the road with wheel bearings.
  3. I don't know why I watch her as she is pretty annoying, but anyway she is currently off to the Arctic circle on her CB500X. Do yourselves a favour and skip to about 7 minutes 10 seconds, juvenile but I nearly pissed myself laughing at her misfortune.
  4. That was high tide so unless the wind takes off that should be it. It is quite common to get water through the street so everywhere can deal with it. Not the drama you might think.
  5. Now who would ride a bike like this?
  6. That's the problem with drinking Red Bull as a mixer, you get to stay awake for the whole hangover. Done it before, never again.

    Castle An Dinas

You are of course right, I think I was being too polite by saying romance.

    Castle An Dinas

Simplest tale that engages both genders and all ages. I think that a lot of history was originally wrapped up in romance to engage the reader at a base level while also to getting the point across.

    Castle An Dinas

It does but I guess because it is the Legendary home of Tristan and Isolde/Iseult. Prolly fairy tales but it is that place. The road sign says Castledore, but like a lot of place names it was changed to sound less foreign. There is a stone with an ancient inscription on it telling the tail of Tristan and Isolde/Iseult less than a mile from where I live. It was moved from Castle D'or a long time ago, it was once in the centre of 4Turnings roundabout but they decided having a bloody great granite pillar in the centre of a mini roundabout was dangerous thing in the 1950's. I'll take some pictures if anyone is the slightest bit interested. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tristan_and_Iseult

Cornish, Welsh and Breton are brother tongues mate
  12. I’m not sure if it would fit on my CB the mirror is pretty close to the master cylinder. Suppose it would be an idea to ask them.
  13. I thought I would take the chance for ride before Storm Agnes gets here tonight. Pretty warm around 19c. I had my winter jacket and was bloody hot at times. There is a very similar Iron Age for near Fowey called Castle D’or but that has cattle on it so it’s dodgy to go there. There is a stunning view from Castle An Dinas. You can see Dartmoor in the far distance and all of Goss moor much closer. Also have a good view of the Clay Pits over at Greensplat. The A30 and much else. Made me wish I had a drone or better camera. After my walk I rode past Dameralls on the way home. They seem to be stocking up again. I liked the AT they had there and a nice 2012 T100 Bonnie. Also 3 CB500X’s and 2 Transalps in stock. They Also had a X-Cross 1200 DCT but that thing was huge.
  14. I thought about getting one as my CB's bars are quite congested, tis a bit spendy though at £55 plus shipping.

    Tide Bell

This has turned up at Parbados this year. It’s a time and tide bell. One of 13 that will stand on beaches around the British coastline. It is rung by the incoming and out going tide, it is supposed to warn of global sea level rise. Of course the Dear Boy couldn’t give a flying feck about it Not my photo but you get the jist

    St Aweful.

That is grim. Does sound like Camborne though just bigger!

    St Aweful.

Yeah I reckon. Given what I do for work I have been out and about in all of these towns after dark and St Aweful, while grim and full of hostel dwellers, it is in no way the worst. I would rank them worst to best, PZ (Drugs probs, evil estates.), Bodmin (Drug probs), Liskeard (Just fecking rough), Camborne (Incest centre of the UK), Redruth, St Aweful. Launceston is pretty sleepy as a town although the pubs get a bit rowdy with carrot crunchers at the weekend. Oh and I forgot Newquay, fights and vomit, plus drugs. Grimy shit hole with a pretty face. Always used to be ethnically Scouse, not sure about nowadays.
