Took the Dear Boy out for a walk along Fowey Golf Links, an old disused golf course that was donated to the people of Fowey to enjoy. Bit damp but lovely to be out there. On the loop we walked past St Catherine’s Castle and the surviving block house that comprises what is left of the Towns Elizabethan defences. There were two large mounted cannons in the castle covering the river mouth. The block house on the others side of the river originally had a twin on the Fowey side. There was a massive chain strung between the two that was raised to stop any ships entering the harbour. Apparently it is still on the river bed and sections of it can still be seen. Or so I have been told by a mate who is in Fowey Diving club. We finished the walk by going passed the old Golf course keeper’s cottage then up Love Lane to the main road and home. There is a tail about Love Lane that mainly consists of the local landed gentry shagging someone he shouldn’t. There is a squirrel further up the lane taunting the dog who is too old and slow to catch the little twat and he knows it.

Hello and welcome Dany. Nice bike

How long before he chirps up?

True, but you know me not one for extremes.

England win but they looked very ordinary for the first 50, improved after that. Still get the feeling they are gonna fold as soon as they meet one of the top teams.

I think England should have their measure but nothing is really a surprise with them at the moment. Way to go Fiji, Sam Matavasi from Camborne playing I can claim that one partly for Kernow.

Cheers Clive.

My dad passed on in 1998 but I remember the monumental task of sorting his stuff out. I’ll give you a taster, when I was 17 I had a Citroen Dyanne. Both doors were rusted through on the drivers side so I got two replacements from a scrappy. Going through his stuff he still had the rusty doors from the Dyanne. He was a boatbuilder/builder, I have enough tools to fit out 2 or 3 workshops.

Samoa vs Chile went as expected. Be interesting to see how Ireland vs Tonga goes. Ireland have gone full noise so they are expecting serious opposition.

I knew they weren't bunnies . Calmer heads in the scrum and a decent kicker would have made it a much closer game.

Joe Picket. 2 Series, entertaining wash over yank tv nonsense. I liked it.

Bright start by Portugal but I get the feeling this is only going one way.

I have that affliction. Inherited from my father the crap he kept just in case he needed it. I am exactly the same.

My birthday this weekend, got nothing much planned. Loads of rugby to watch.

Despite checking it my bike has not needed the chain adjusting in the time I have had and 3600 miles. Like you I do look after it.

I was only 6 then. I was thinking what you said about grey importers, was it Speed Motorcycles?

Unfortunately the scenic photos are of Bude which according to the local residents is passionately Cornish. Got a few mates there and if you ask them why they have a EX postcode it never fails to get them biting. To be fair Devon is a stunning place and less packed and spoilt than Cornwall. I passed my motorcycle test in 1984, now that was a lifetime ago

Also forgot to mention I popped into SP Motorcycles who are just down the road from Bridge to have a look. KTM, Aprilla, and Moro Guzzi dealers. Not so friendly a bunch I thought. Did have a couple of nice Guzzi’s and a Triumph Thruxton in stock. Not so keen on the look of the KTM’s. Those bug eye headlights don’t do it for me.
