I can still flat foot full squats, to many years of squats and deadlifts for rugby core strength . Loads of cracks and creaks from my knees but they still do work under protest. Not that it's any use the rest of me is still worn out.

Hello Mate and welcome.

House was like the Marie Celest so I bimbled up to Damerells to get some lunch and look at the bikes. Aside from the demonstrators and sold bikes there was only about 10 bikes actually for sale. Definitely silly season. Anyway I sat outside for lunch and had a chat with the CBT instructors who I know and this chap rocked up on a Interceptor from Switzerland. Not an everyday occurrence. He proceeded to charge his oil in the car park and mingled with the Daddy day care old fart crew. Interesting fella. Chucked a pair of saddlebags on his bike and travelled across Europe and on a whim.

You'll notice how far away it was from everything else. He reckoned it is worth £15k and to be honest I believed him. I would pay it if I won the lottery.

I wish I hadn't googled that, suppose I know what it means now and got some relationship advice at the same time . In answer to the question I do like a tank bag and a Bagster makes that easy, but I do see your point.

I spoke to a Harley rider last night that is going to Naseby. I asked him if he was going up with the local group. He made me laugh as he was adamant he wasn't riding up with them and was less than complimentary.

It was simply stunning. Local bike to.

A new bike night started last night at Sam’s Diner next to Cornish Market World last night so I popped in on the way to choir practice. Some interesting stuff to look at all local bikes, I knew some of the lads so it was a good way to spend an hour. About 25 bikes in total.

I don’t doubt what he’s written was for effect but I think he was right on this rare occasion. Basically calling out the presses handling of the story.

Well that was a surreal evening. Choir practice tonight we had a visit from a Ukrainian ladies group that are living in St Austell and Mevagissey. I’m in Mevagissey male choir. Anyway we are hosting a concert for Mevagissey Feast Week and the Ukrainian’s are going to be singing with us. After our practice we always go to the pub, the ladies came as well. We always sing in the pub and they did also. Bloody lovely it was. I got chatting to one and asked what the song was about, apparently a sad love song. Very enjoyable evening.

I am with you there tis just a homophobic witch hunt now. He was a prick abused his position and lost his job time to move on in my mind. I am sure Multimillionaire Scoff will be fine in the long run. I never thought I would say it but Clarkson was on the money in his article.

That's something I hadn't thought of

I wouldn't really know mate I haven't had a modern dirt bike, but I do remember my ER was tough and easy to fix, not as capable as my mates DT175 but less highly strung. I think if I was seriously thinking of buying something like that I would look at a Beta Alp 200 or similar, don't think it will happen but it's nice to have a plan.

All true as I remember but nostalgia is a strong emotion.

I would really like that, I have many fond memories of the one I have back in the 80's. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/404317947178?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D777008%26algo%3DPERSONAL.TOPIC%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D250026%26meid%3Daac4b5235e0d4b4e83b39272c9abfc7f%26pid%3D101524%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26itm%3D404317947178%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2380057%26algv%3DRecentlyViewedItemsV2&_trkparms=pageci:a86914a2-0272-11ee-b028-7a4bea881070|parentrq:83e7f51f1880a0d1370c7523fffd3b94|iid:1&_trksid=p2380057.c101524.m146925&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&siteid=3&campid=5337705843&toolid=20008&mkevt=1&ul_ref=https://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1&fbclid=IwAR11c-yYJ9d-iNFDpZ5hzucpoR2ZUknygCPvV9dXo1Uakojzf_9EczyXdBk

I use this Draper gauge and a cheapie compressor from Lidl. The gauge on the compressor is off but I normally go above what I need and the bring the pressure down with the bleed valve on the gauge. I have an accessory plug on my bike so I can power the compressor from it. Bit bulky but accurate and quick.

interesting read

I understand your reason Clive and to be honest I am a lot like that, just easy going let the world go by most of the time, but sometimes you gotta hold on to what is you. I am lucky with my Mrs she doesn't stop me doing anything with my singing or biking and I have nothing to say about her horse stuff. But we both gave up alot when the kids came along, later in life and doing that you do lose something of yourself and it can effect your head. Sorry if I am reading to much into it mate but think before your jump.

Just been out playing with set up for a trip or two. I don’t think I will need it all for a few days away, after all shoes and a couple of changes in clothes how much am really going to need in the UK. Probably just use the tail pack and cases. I never imagined it but I am finding the tank bag Brilliant for choir. Just an easy way to carry my music and bits

Been out pissing about with a set of throw overs I bought for my Himalayan ages ago and never used. They were cheap so that is a consolation. Got them on ok but don’t know if I will ever use them now as I have some hard cases. Impressions though are that using this sort of bag would be a pain. Not sure I would trust them with much more that a bit of shopping. Also not secure at all so you couldn’t leave anything in them. Plus also pretty sure the would rub where they touch the paint. Back in the corner to dust catch I think.

Practicing now and waking the house up. Singing in a Variety show Saturday night so squeaky bum time until it's done. Wondering why I agreed to do it at the moment. . Washed the bike this morning hoping to get out on it over the weekend as the weather looks good, trip down west on the cards for me.
