Yeah I love Bryn Terfel. His version of Sea Fever is very personalised which is fine but not as writ. Great to listen to not brilliant to learn from. Singing solos comes with experience and the confidence that brings and if you actually want to do it. I am a noisy Bugger and have to let it out . Tell your boy if he fancies it to go for it, I am sure there will be support for soloists in his choir or chorus if he shows the inclination.

BSA Bringing Back Bantam, Lightning, and Thunderbolt Names
Saul replied to Hugh Janus's topic in MOTORCYCLE CHAT
I think that is spot on. I love the looks and sound of the BSA and would love one if I could have it as a garage queen to come out on sunny days. But for every day transport you could get a new Hornet for £200 more which is a whole different kettle of fish as everyday transport. Pay your money and make you choice. I would take pointy practical plastic but it doesn't stop me liking the classic looking retro. -
Bass mate, This is what I am shooting for, suitable type of thing for the posh music festival we are part of. Only been in the choir 13 years and they still spell my name wrong.

Working tonight but the weather is clement so will take the bike, so looking forward to a good ride. My new Helmet is coming today so a great chance to try that out. Tomorrow I have a day off because I have a concert with my Choir at St Mawes Music festival. Bit squeaky bum time as I have two solos to sing. Old Man river from Showboat and the song of the Ireland poem Sea Fever. That’s the harder one as it is pretty technical to sing Sunday working again.

I know they were the two bikes of the night for me. Also that red XS1100 only had 1500 miles on it.

I went to Dameralls bike night last night as I finally got my mate who never rides on his CB to come out. Dry and warm so lured him out. Anyway over the course of 2 hours I guess that there were around 200 bikes that came and went. Some beautiful stuff but also loads of L plate specials with fart cans. I only took a few photos of what interested me but an enjoyable evening all the same. Also hooked up with some mates who I hadn’t seen for years which was good. Strangely enough a guy turned up in the cleanest Lotus Sunbeam I have ever seen.

Thanks that's interesting. I had read that the C4 Basic was a better quieter helmet than the Pro. There is only a £30 price difference between them now they have both been superseded by the C5 and discounted. I can get a C4 Basic for £299 which I thought was a good price the C5's I have seen advertised are near double that. I don't really care about coms if I am honest. I loved my old BMW/Schubert lid and thought the C4 would be a good replacement long term. Noise levels are the reason I am thinking of upgrading what I have plus I would like the utility of a Flip front lid again. My current full face had no pinlock or sun visor, and well it is comfy it is not that quiet for a full face lid. Plus I don't seem to be able to source a replacement visor for it which doesn't bode well for the future. My other lid is a cheapy Jet type open face and while convenient for a local bimble it's no use when you get on a faster road.

Lovely sunny day here so thought it would be a good one to go out. Tried to get my mate with the red CB to come along but his Darkness said no. And great day for a bimble around the clay country. Nobody about so some lovely empty dry roads, Got a chance to wind my CB up a bit and to be honest it was a lot of fun. Surprisingly good for a commuter bike. Anyway Darealls was a bit sparsely populated on the bike front, by their standards. Suppose it is silly season and all. I reckon they have sold 10 Interceptors since my last visit. They had some new interesting stock just the same. Also a nice old school Gixxer turned up outside. I was quite impressed with this CF Moro 650 GT for just 4.6k. Just 2500 miles on it on a 71 plate. Not something I would buy but a lot of bike for the money.

I resemble the remark

I think the only difference between the Pro and Basic apart from the name is the pro is ready to accept coms with a speaker and mic integrated. Only about £30 in difference so seems like the obvious option.

Sixpence pre decimalisation. 6p. I can only just remember it,

Thinking of getting one, but which one? C3 Pro vs C4 Pro or C4 Basic or even C5. Had a Schuberth before and loved it but am wondering if to take the plunge again and which model. I am favouring a C4 Pro but would be interested in any first hand experience.

Damerells, my local Honda dealer, had a Hornet demonstrator and stock as well as Trans Alps. It was about 3 weeks ago so they may well be gone now. I know they had a demonstrator Hornet as the salesman offered me a test ride on it.

I like it here, codgerville and a bit village but entertaining enough. And much as it pains me to admit it I do quite like some of you.

I think I am down to my last 2 or 3 now.

Even I, and believe me I love where I am from, am getting fed up with with the daily grind in Britain at the moment. I would happily move abroad now. If it were on the cards I would chose either Ireland or one of the Scandies, or possibly rural Belgium. I’m not good in the heat.

Thank goodness you came out of that mess unscathed.

I saw them at the Cornwall Coliseum, which was at Crinnis Beach. Can't remember the year. Loved the Stranglers.

Yeah it was talking about my L Plate mates that reminded me of it, Peaches and the album itself was the soundtrack of the summer for us. Down at the Beaches looking at the Peaches.

True mate, I was wondering if all my old mates and I met up to do that again if we would behave any better and I really don’t reckon we would . Nothing like a group of old codgers unleashed . In the summer us L Platers we used to stay at Polmear Cafe playing Asteroids with the Jukebox on the go trying to pull a holidaymaker until thrown out, then race over to Highway Cafe until thrown out of there. Spent bleddy hours doing it. If we were flush and feeling a bit brave we used to go down to the Wimpy at Crinnis Beach and then into the Amusement Arcade. Always risky as the St Austell lads didn’t like us St Blazey boys much. Had many dust ups with them but there were only 15 or so of us, there were many more townies so it depended if they were mobbed up or not as to the outcome. Also one way in and one way out of Crinnis Beach.

Well not really but I had to fuel up my bike this morning and as the fuel station is only a mile from my house I always like to get a few miles under my belt rather than just do such a short journey. Had a bit of a trip down memory lane this morning, when me and my L Plate mates used to do a trip of the 4 local motorcycle dealers every Saturday morning to see what they had. Of course they are all gone now but it was good to do the circuit just the same. After the loop we used to go and hang at Polmear Cafe until kicked out then headed to St Blaise Park to wait for the football. Couldn’t even get in there now all locked up. Never like that back in the day. I also popped down to Porthpean Beach to have a look. Also found a lot of these things hanging around different spots in St Awful Finally a little gift left on my phone from my Darling 18 year old daughter mental cow, as I tell her often. Sorry Pete found no corpses.

I know, that's the point.

I don't doubt Usyk would win but I reckon an awkward, heavy handed, rangy southpaw would make it much more interesting than most of the other propositions out there at the moment, possibly with the exception of Greedy Belly who won't fight him.
