Riding irresponsibly, almost having an accident...
JustaPor replied to JustaPor's topic in MOTORCYCLE CHAT
Exactly what I thought! He was riding like a dick on public roads, then runs after her like he's on his personal racetrack to lecture the woman on her driving mistake. What a hypocrite! -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AisRrnEoo8I (you can start to watch at the minute 4:30) I'm no saint, but I think this guy is full of himself. He was riding over the speed limit on the road and wants to blame the woman in the car for almost causing an accident. She is also at fault, but thinking that it was only her fault is too stupid for me. And even worse, he chased her riding like a maniac just to catch and lecture her! What do you guys think about this kind of behaviour?

There are times that I don't like to be right, but I told you that they would win it!

90k for a bike with this "a girder fork, no rear suspension, a Kawasaki engine, and drum brakes" is just insane.
-
No, I've been watching the live stream.

The F1 engines made my ears bleed!

Exactly! It can go to around 105, but after 70/80 it's not that quick. The wind on a naked bike is always a bit harsh above 60 but I would like to be able to ride comfortably at 75/80 and I don't see that happening on the CB500F

Around here the cops say that they aren't on the OEM placement, therefore they are illegal.
-
Won't you get in trouble with the cops for having those ?

My current issue is that I avoid motorways due to main 2 reasons : 1 - at 75mph (120kmh) the engine is already at 6k rpm, which feels too much for me for long distances; 2 - the lack of power to go beyond that speed for quick overtakes. But, I like my bike so much and I haven't done 5k miles (8k km) on it. I really need to thing about this.

Thanks for the feedback. I've been wondering if I should upgrade... but I have to really think about it.

Has anyone watched "The Bikeriders" ? https://www.imdb.com/title/tt21454134/ If so, is it any good ?

About the Hornet, how many rpm is it doing in 6th gear at 75mph? The CB500F is at 6k at that speed...

Start drinking my friend! You can bet that Spain will be Champion this year.

Start watching from min 7:15 and get ready for some ranting. -
Here you can see better how hideous this thing is!

Hi! I took my drivers license when I was 20 and didn't ride anything for another 20 years. I bought a 2022 CB500F as my first bike and I love it. It's easy to ride, not too powerful and forgives the rookie mistakes. Being young I believe you'll grow out of it quickly, as you'll want more power. But it is a nice bike to begin with. Budgetwise, I've spent around 700€ on full gear (Nolan Helmet, Spidy gloves, Dainese Jacket, boots and trousers) . Could have been less if I had chosen cheaper brands. I can't help you with the insurance as I'm not in the UK.

I don't have a topcase/box as I don't like the way they look on naked bikes. I saw a guy (on youtube if I remember correctly) that attached a backpack using the rear vents of the CB500F. I gave it a shot with a large backpack I had laying around. It's big enough I can fit a smaller backpack with my laptop and work stuff in it. The downside of this is that I have to remove it to access the content under the passenger seat. But it can easily removed in 5 minutes or less.

Just watched Beverly Hills Cop (4) : Axel F It wasn't the best movie ever, as expected, but it was nice. The same vibe as the Beverly Hills Cop 2.

They already fell so they fit on the first category. This doesn't mean they are immune of falling again
-
There are only 2 types of bikers, those who fell and those who will fall.

I would say that the main reason is the climate change and pollution restrictions. This is why there are currently much more twin cylinder bikes than before. Less cylinders, less pops and bangs, less pollution = less power (most of the times).
