  1. Treasure the time you have with her, loosing mine last year was really hard. The new pup follows me about - has a bed in the garage - doesn’t particularly want any attention, just wants to be with me and happy lays there snoring and farting.
  2. I see you have your supervisor there checking on the quality of work. Mine does the same thing although regularly pops out for a stick break.
  3. Did they have little pick axes and helmets with little lights on... ? What's the tarmac laid on?
  4. Isn’t Canada 120v, the same as the US? Can you get 220 single phase if you need it?
  5. No, southern England. Donner and burgers, just what you want at 2am after 18 pints and having pulled something that lives under a bridge.
  6. Been looking at a fast food place today, opposite a night club but the club has shut down ( apparently to be converted into flats) so the food shop is out of business. The customer facing bit is OK but pretty grim out the back. I know these places have hygiene inspections but I’m glad I never ate their food… not the worst Ive looked at tho.
  7. Yeah 1200cc, I just asked Google and 556 is what the AI bit came back with, not done any actual maths ...
  8. We don’t tend to have basements here, they always bloody leak. Older houses might have cellars, often where the coal was poured into directly off the street, but they were never designed to be dry.
  9. No idea what the thing with all the suitcases on it is but mine is 556 according to Google AI ( Indian FTR), obviously without my 100kg arse on it. Edit - just read the other thread … what a load of
  10. Watching the first series of the Witcher again as the new season is due soon. This will be the third time I've started at the beginning again and I still don't bloody understand it.
  11. Your cleaner locks you in the garage ?
  12. Is something which has had all of its parts replaced still the same object? Only fools and horses joke where Trigger used the same broom for 20 years although the head and the stick have been replaced loads of times. There is some intellectual “ paradox” name for it which I can’t recall.
  13. I did a 150 mile round trip to go see my mum. I was melting on the way back & had to go cool down in a nice air conditioned gas station. I bloody hate the heat. Did see a few people riding in shorts and a tee shirts, no gloves.
  14. Doesn't sound like you had a good day ... but at least she's ok, If nothing else she should learn from this. Getting a call to say your kid has been involved in an accident must be the worst ...

    Lift

How does it connect / link to the bike frame? I bought one of the lifts which go under the sump a couple of months ago. I had intentions off cutting it in half and extending it so I could wheel the bike on and lift it compete ... haven't got around to the surgery yet so just put a plank on it and lifted the bike on that.
  16. FFS, every month I think must take photos next time I'm out ... still haven't done so ...
  17. Just got back, bloody knackered. According to the organisers over 1200 bikes attended, Guildford high street and a lot of the little side streets absolutely jam packed with bikes. Prob took me 30 mins to get out of first gear the start was so slow, just due to the volume of riders. At the restart at the regroup point it took me 10 mins to find my bike … only saw one other FTR, loads of nice Harley’s and stacks of R series BMWs, a boss hog v8, quite a few old 2 strokes to add a bit of ambience /fragrance … none of which I took any photos of … Live music at the Hogs Back brewery to finish
  18. Enjoy it Bob, nice day for it too!

    Macs

A couple of years ago mine decided to have a go slow and do erratic things. I messed about with it for a bit but then the HDD failed. I managed to get someone to recover the data luckily, and I do back ups more frequently now….
  20. Over a thousand registered for the Guildford ride. It’s very cool to see that many bikes lined up in the main street & fun to hear them all firing up. The ride ends up at a brewery which is a bonus
  21. A worthy cause, I' d sponsor you but already done so for a couple of mates who are going with me. Hope you have fun ( and its not raining ... )
  22. Spent the afternoon getting exhaust manifold nuts off … something I wasn’t looking forward to but loosened them all up, eventually, without snapping any off. Just trying to talk myself out of replacing the studs …
  23. Been fiddling with a non runner I bought a few weeks back. Changed the fuel pump plus fuse, plus filter, found the HT leads were connected all wrong, new starter motor, and finally got it started but only v briefly as not changed the oil yet. Tank leaks and suspect an air leak after the mass air sensor thing. Need to decide what to do with it longer term.
  24. … out on the scoot each morning for a fry up breakfast
  25. That looks lovely, and what a garage / workshop to have !!
