Got back from Manc a shot while ago. Holmfirth, Sheffield, Mansfield, Newark bla, bla, bla. Too hot. 500 odd miles for me and her. Bikes are now locked up out front and 2" longer with the crusty bugs we destroyed.

Off to the north soon, stopping off in Pontefract before Royton. Struggling to get the panniers packed ATM,,, or she is.

Don't think that's official yet but you could well be right

Good thinking, didn't spot that.

I'm used to what you normally post but that made me laugh out loud. Now the woman is suspicious.

Just thought I'd chuck that in for Chris as being a diode it'll only pass current one way.

I'd guess that alarm lamp's a LED.

Had just left school and was working in an amusements, 9am til 12am. You're prob right on both counts.

Well I didn't think it was funny, was fucking guttered. And I had to walk home 4 miles from my job at midnight. That's just made you laugh more hasn't it.

I had a chopper with a moped battery, indicators, brake and head lights. Charged via a side of the tyre type dynamo. Some basted pinched it.

I'll get some pics next time round, I couldn't believe how good the struts are, no rust on the top plate either.

Carpets will be coming out next week and I think we'll find you wrong. So far in remarkably good condition.
-
It's been done and like me, the owner wants it original.
-
Well thanks for clearing that up.

Interior pretty standard, nothing bling there. Vinyl roof in good condition, alloys that are turning to powder and to top it all, it's a 2.8 engine the previous owner fitted. I knew something was wrong while I was getting it started but kept my mouth shut before I could confirm to the owner. He's a little disappointed but now started searching for a 3ltr engine. and manual box. Paint looks very good on this pic but the lacquer is shite. Previous owner didn't do the car any favours other than keeping it in a well vented garage.

You're on the cider aren't you.

And by the way, good to see you back Clive.

Thats my sort of comment ya nob. Just old age. I don't under stand the old folk that want to shove on all sort of pin stripes and stickers, and then lacquer over the top. Messed up some good paint work, although it'll have a respray later. Simon thinks like me, get it on the road and better it along the way. It's a real good starting point for it's age. I suspect a slight head gasket prob but not worried as I'll be assisting him doing a full rebuild along the way.
