Everything's turning into an arse of a job.
Golf diesel needs a cam belt. Running like crap the belt is frayed and less than half its normal width. Turns out it's not uncommon for this engine to jump teeth on the belt and mess with the lobes pressed onto the camshafts so I've now got to sort that.
Old gent with the collection of old motors tells me the A95 is running rich, more like the old Zenith carb is worn out and starving the engine of fuel in the high revs. Tempted to tell him to leave well alone as he drives it like miss daisy and alls well other than leaving a few black marks on his drive.
