  1. Hi Gordon. Have you had a ride on any of these bikes? Just thinking you're looking at pretty bikes rather than what you're going to be comfortable on.
  2. Matchless wasn't available so that's off for later. Bunny poop hoovering in a bit. The sun's out today till that weather front moves over later so we'll see if we can get out for a walk with the grand daughters or just a stroll by ourselves.
  3. I'm guessing as there's nothing to read this morn everyone was on the beer last night. Shopping, she getting her nails done later so I might see if the Matchless is available to remove the front forks. I had a piece of threaded bar made to screw into the top of the fork leg to tap them out and with the nut to fit pull them back in again. 15/16 BSF And it's raining again.
  4. Start looking at new boilers
  5. Oh no, you know what that normally is.
  6. Look like the same style units my boy has, very nice.
  7. Took a test drive today while watching data on the diagnostic tool and scrapped the front wing turning back into my drive. I then remembered I had my reading glasses on, well that's my excuse. How's the extension going Bob?
  8. Looked after one of the granddaughters Friday for a couple of hours and I've now got her cold. As usual it's bunged me head up. Did get the rover mostly back together today but gave up as I was bloody freezing and the cam timing wasn't doing what the book said. Might go back tomorrow.
  9. Been and done the shopping, waiting for the rain to arrive. Says 4 deg but feeling colder. Off to the shed in a bit.
  10. Fitted a lambda probe to a focus today as the heater circuit had gone. Now getting codes saying that new sensor is reading slow. F7 engine in and running, very rough though. There's no clamp on the carb as it's a push fit arrangement but the rubber stub has gone hard over its sitting years causing a sloppy fit. It's also spitting back through the carb making me doubt the disc valve timing. It was far from good condition when I put the engine back together and I refitted the same as it came apart so not sure it was in the right place. The exhaust seems pretty clogged too so we'll try cleaning that out first. I bet the caustic soda available today isn't as good as the flesh eating shit of yesterday.
  11. Wash over a polish when I think it needs doing, same for the inside.
  12. Same here. You keep looking at that enfield Saul, tut tut.
  13. Nephew had a front coil spring snap at 70mph and go through the tyre. Fortunately managed to stop without spreading bit of the van all over the road. Must have been a risk of brown trousers I should think. Waiting for parts for that. Also playing with the Matchless again trying to get the front end apart. I like working on this old girl but 70 years old has made everything a bit corroded together, trying my patience.
  14. Hi Dan. R3, I guess you're a youngster or enjoying the lighter bike?
  15. Did you hire bikes once there, first pic looks like an airport shot. Perfect way to keep the floor clean. Did anyone else notice the re-bar table legs.
  16. Changed a ABS sensor on a Honda civic this afternoon. The corrosion in the hole was so bad it had snapped the sensor top off.
  17. Found him https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duncan_Norvelle
