Refitted a starter motor to a diesel astra I took off a couple of days ago. Basted thing was covered in oil and sure enough the starter repair shop agreed. Once I got it started I could see the oil pissing out of the oil filter top cover. Wanker hasn't had a service for that long the O ring had gone hard. Got called out to replace an alternator to a Fiat Punto. I took it on as it's an old boss and he was a good man. Reminded me what a cunt the top bolt was. I've walked away from this trade many times but I know nothing else. Twat.

Prob a rubber bush. Get under with a can of silicone lube. If it doesn't work you can use the rest on the misses.

Mand S to collect a top Mani's ordered, then a bit of shopping. Thens she's off to the hairdressers. I have a head off a rover p6 2000tc which I might drop at the machine shop if he's there. F1 to watch. I might get a bike out if I can find one amongst the boxes and other crap I've piled up. Was pissing about fitting a water pump to a family members corsa last night. Bloody cold and dark and now can't remember tightening 3 bolts up holding a plate in front of said pump. Bloody cars. Just been to check and they were tight. Old age, don't do it.

Yours would have caused a water to rise by at least a foot or made a dam. -

Taking Mandi to the hospital this afternoon for an op on her in growing toenail. Been giving her more grief than me as late. Prob out for a paper soon. F1 was on this morn so another early race tomorrow. Hope to finish the matchless shocks while Mandis in as we now have all the parts. There's a bit of play in the rusty liquid one which I guess is expected but they all leak I'm told. See if I can remember a pic. S type jag is still giving me a hard time with the central locking but that can wait in this weather.

Car collected. Still couldn't find any prob with the rear seat alarms but won't charge us for the diag. Just bloody try. I can't imagine it's an easy fault to sort if honest. Oh we did get sent a vid of them walking around the car telling us how much tread was left on the tyres.

I guess him fiddling around filming with the ignition on and off didn't help. He is a nob but I have to watch to see what new Nobby things he gets up to.

Taking Mandis Toyota CHR for a recall this morn. Turns out these are some of the range of Toyota and Lexus that are very easy to steal. Their fix is fitting a tracker. At the September service we mentioned the front speakers rattling in the dash, I had to sort that as they couldn't see a prob. Fuckin buzzing used to drive us mad. Also mentioned was the rear seat belt alarms would go off thinking there was someone on the middle seat we there was nothing. So we plugged in the seat belt to shut it up. Picked up a friend yesterday on the way to work and all the rear lights and alarms went off. Will mention this again as it's supposed to have the warranty extended a year after each service carried out by them. I think I'll start looking after it myself if they try and wiggle out of it again.
