We did Hardwick a few years back. Stopped on the way to Manchester. Over heating on the bikes and needed a cool down. That was a good stop as there's also another hall remains in the same grounds.
We were National trust members then.
Yesterdays visit would have cost us £25.00 each. The day before would have been £6 each for here and £10.40 each for here.
They're all English Heritage which we have joint membership. Already gone over our membership fee as we joined at Osbourne house on the Isle of Wight.
Been for a look see here today. In the car as it's been pissing down most of the day.
Ran round the gardens etc between showers. Mandi likes the insides, how the rich once lived.
Weather girl says it's getting better for the weekend here.
Didn't want anything big and expensive, got far better things to throw money at and lets face it, it's just a bit of paper that we haven't needed for the last 35 years anyway.
Did a silly thing today and married my long term partner and mother of our 3 kids.
Just those 3 with their partners and 2 grand children.
It pissed down as we made from the parked cars to Norwich castle which added some more fun to it all.
