  1. yaaaay, village people.
  2. ermm, 2 hondas. I first had some recommended by my daughters other half while at the Festival. I'm pleased I can get it locally now.
  3. Mandis off for a spa day with her friend later so I have a free day, other than going to pay for the younger boys new car. The Rover head is all ready to go back together but as it's got to be taken 7 miles up the road to the rest of the car I'll leave it till next week as I've got to have a good think of what to take with me. I always forget something so I bet it'll be 2 trips. The shed I did the head work in is a tip so a bit of time is needed in there. We have a "tap room" opened a while ago in the high St which has a cherry beer so I might well slip down there for a swift or 2.
  4. Now going to sort the shims on the rover head, was going to do it this morn but that wind is bloody cold. Dropped a fair bit now.
  5. Thanks for checking in Scott. Good to have a bit of news come in.
  6. Have one of them in London they'll think its a doodlebug coming in.
  7. My thoughts exactly when standing in front of the mirror.
  8. We all know it's not the fastest way round a track but it looks, smells, sounds and is bloody brilliant.
  9. What kit did you go for?
  10. My oldest calls me pops too.
  11. The boy fancies a Volvo v40. He's found another he likes but no car play/android or parking sensors but it's 2 grand cheap than the others we've seen. There's after market stuff available so I guess he'll be going for this one. Today I've been searching for info on a coolant temp level sensor on a ford petrol 1600 turbo focus. Turns out these sensors were added to the cars by recall as when they overheat the heads warp leaking oil onto the turbo and the lot goes up in flames. Rather than keep it simple, these sensors also have a controller fitted and then it all goes into the can bus. So all I can do is check for earth, voltage and the 2 can signals which were all present, I don't have an oscilloscope or the knowledge to use one so it's fingers crossed on the level sensor or take it to the ford dealers. I must admit I've quiet enjoyed looking into it, prob something to do with sitting on me arse.
  12. I'll have to point this out to the misses, but not for my benefit.
  13. Warmer than I thought you'd say. Been bubbling around 6 deg in Ipswich, sun made it feel better.
  14. Took the younger boy over to Ipswich as he wanted to view a car for sale. Seller had 3 to choose from on site, all with plenty of marks, chips and damaged wheels. One had some accident damage poorly fixed leaving a headlight full of water and a big gap where it met the bumper. When we spoke to the salesman he's said "that was all taken into consideration when priced". When I said you won't sell it like that he response was, "there could be someone walk in and not see all the faults you pointed out". Needless to say we walked away but is this the norm now.
  15. Sad news Skippy enjoy today as you know there'll be lots of paperwork to go through. Condolences to you. We got a call when Mandis dad was in a home in Manchester, we'd got the bikes out, gear on only to get the call to say he'd gone before we got our legs over the bikes.
  16. I have that with my iPhone, have to duplicate to get jpegs, why can't they all have 1 format.
  17. Doesn't look cold but I bet it was, nice area you have there.
  18. Not into that then. Must admit to leaving it on and doing the housework, couldn't watch it all. Reminds me of Pete with the empty roads and riding by himself.
  19. Did you get swiped? Had a nasty cut on my hand some years ago, sharp stuff. I did the shopping today while Mandi had her nails done. Dropped the kwaka engine off on the way. Had a look at a diesel Eos, loud popping coming back through the air box, could be time for the scrap yard. Also checked out a transit power steering noise, reservoir empty and leak found on a non pressure pipe so will go back later and chop in a bit of rubber hose. Now having a nice lager.
  20. That tank looks the size of a Honda c50
