  1. Make you wonder why plod has said we weren't chasing but the little fuckers should have stopped. When do we get the statement, "they were such good boys".
  2. Avoid Avon as they seem to crack up fast. As for EBC, I don't know if you remember but I had one on my xl600lm, started to pulse after about 500 miles. Wasn't that bad so never did anything about it. Was a good while ago now though. Edit, the hub and disc now live on the from of the dominator, still warped.

  5. Like you I'm always losing the bloody things. Being magnetic isn't always a good thing. There's a long term joke running between me and an old school mate. We're always accusing each other of pinching tools when ever we go round. Normally starts with, "You thieving basted".
  6. There's still a few of us old timers about.
  7. I've been working on a matchless g3l recently. He wanted the head gasket doing along with an oil change and the fitting of a universal brake light switch. Took me 2 goes to sort the gasket as I was being a pussy with the head torque apparently. First go I took the little bolts down to 30lbs but 35 sorted it the second time. Warmed it up to dump the oil then it wouldn't start again. After much faffing with the ignitor unit, with points, I got it sorted again and took it for a run. Gears on the wrong side and 1 up 3 down had me pissing myself but once I'd got myself sorted I bloody loved it. Didn't need any revs it just plodding away. He's thinking about an electronic ignitor so it looks like I get to ride it again soon. It just like the AJS I photo'd at Skeyton a couple of weekends back. Got this old girl fired up for the first time in a while too. First without exhausts but ran it and tweaked the carbs once they were on. Forgot how much I liked the smell. Who remembers these?
  8. Bet he'd rather be on the 1200. Epic stuff and looking forward to the next one.
  9. That looks better than new.
  10. Good looking bike though and hopefully the Indians have made a better job of it than we did.
  11. Crikey, they're got some money on the books.
  12. Train station looked like some doors, windows and a lick of paint would see it right again. Great stuff Earache.
  13. Been out to a small classic car n bike meet at a place called Skeyton. Haven't been before but although cold plenty to see. Mostly cars but still good.
  14. Me and Mandi would find ourselves doing that. Pack of biscuits, bread rolls with some sliced ham lobbed in. Whatever they were selling.
  15. Me to. It's often the case that these warnings pop up for the smallest reason but it'll knock you into (safe mode) get you home anyway. Bit more involved if it's down a cylinder. Might be something as little as a misfire but you'll get safe mode to protect the cat in the exhaust.
  16. I'll just put this here, https://uk.yahoo.com/news/somerset-gimp-arrested-again-terrifying-173333474.html
