  1. Did you leave your shoes up top to get the feel of the job
  2. We got into that too. Shame is Dad sold a lot of them as he was off work and bringing us troublesome lot up. He had some cracking stuff, just tools to us back then.
  3. Me and my older brother Tim have always pulled things to bits to put back together again. Started with push bikes and went on from there. We used to go down all the back ways to people houses to see what dead electricals, push bikes and motorbikes were there and very often they'd let us have them. Used to visit the tip on a regular basis too. TVs we'd palm off around the family but the best bike parts would be swopped onto our own bikes. Motorbikes we'd get going a rag around the local corn fields. Had my first car at 13 from a relative, "if you can get it off the drive it's yours". Had to sell off some bikes etc to keep petrol in it. None of this would of happen without dads tool kit and him allowing us to just get on with it.
  4. Is that woman in the pink top in there too?
  5. Motor GP Sunday. At some point this weekend I'll be dragging the toolbox out of the way to get the dominator in and the CBF and the tracer out. I'm off to the Isle of Wight Monday and Mandi will be following on Friday. So Tuesday to Friday I'll be on foot walking around the island, weather permitting. I don't mind a bit of water and I gather it's raining Monday on the way down but getting a soaking isn't my idea of a good time. There could be pubs involved. Daughters birthday on the Wednesday but her partners talking her to the main land for a surprise. We'll both travel home again bank holiday Monday. Edit. Also, I've got a xr450 in the garden as It won't start. I've now got a spark and also moved the valve timing as the owner had it a tooth out after replacing some valves. Prob is I hurt my back kicking it over and really can't be arsed to try again.
  6. Now there's a name from the past.
  7. Someones been burning out the tyre on the one next to it.
  8. Yeap. Top of Caister Rd next to the heliport. Spent a lot of time there racing anything we got our hands on. https://yarmouthstadium.co.uk/#motor
  9. Top end of Gt Yarmouths golden mile. Before the tourist wake.
  10. Tyre guy told me they crack up if you leave the bike/car sitting around a lot which doesn't move the oils around in the rubber. I answered there's hardly any real rubber in them anymore, he didn't disagree.
  11. Got a couple of contis on the front of the car. Good tread but getting bad cracks in them now. I moved them from the rear of the car to try a get some wear out of them before I have to change them as I won't be able to wear them out. They ain't the rubber in the tyres we grew up with. This prob isn't just a continental fault either.
  12. Just up the toad from CSJ, who know what'll turn up.
  13. Didn't see this then? https://uk.yahoo.com/news/heatwave-drought-reservoirs-uk-ruins-102058208.html
  14. Bumping into other things I hope as it is a good laugh.
  15. Think lack of money and staff is why the prisoners are in lock up. As for the petty thief, what they learn with each other is why they reoffend.
  16. Edge of the river Yare. It's part of the angles way. https://www.ldwa.org.uk/ldp/members/show_path.php?path_name=Angles+Way
  17. Did 17 miles this morn. Just nice when you get away from all the traffic noise. Also notice there's no hire boats bumping into each other.
  18. Chased my brother in law across there on my old Mk1 tdm. Hit a rock in the middle of the road and almost had a toilet accident.
  19. While on our travels me and Mandi have stopped off at Oxford prison and Lancaster Castle both were far more interesting than we first thought.
  20. Now thinking I should of gone as Mandi wants to go shopping for window blinds. Witch didn't mention that yesterday. Doesn't she know BSBs on.
  21. Laid in bed this morn thinking about moving my toolbox in the passage to get a bike out for Matlock. Toolbox didn't move and neither did I.
