  1. Me and Mandi visited Edinburgh when touring on the bikes. It was pissing with rain all day but the people, mostly students were great. It was also tattoo week so real busy. Our water proofs were a good talking point. Lovely place.
  2. Only if you say don't do it in the rain and open another bottle.
  3. OK here at the mo but rains moving in and staying for the weekend. Still got plenty of house stuff to do so time won't be wasted, well no more that the usual weekend. Might get that bloody carb sorted one day.
  4. Looking good for all them years. Best wishes tYms mum.
  5. There's some good washing going on in Londons square mile and not just for the Russians.
  6. At risk of upsetting a few, once this tit opens his trap I switch off. Thinking about it I do that a lot but not when the music catches my attention. I'm off to the IOW this year and the misses wants me to watch Muse with her. Some excellent music but only if he can kept his bloody gob shut.
  7. Yes they where pepper pots, not original but period. and I spent yesterday mooping round the bedroom as I drank far too much Saturday night.
  8. Feeling tired today. Up at 3am yesterday and went to Wigan to collect a 3ltr engine and manual gearbox for the mates Capri. His car started life as a 30ltr auto Ghia. Last owner swopped engine and box for a 2.8 auto out of a Granada. We've now got everything we need to make it a 3ltr manual. Chap we got the parts from has this in his garage amongst other things. Today I will be mostly knock out an old brick fireplace, resting and heading for the pub.
  9. Gonna have to change the oil a lot if you're depositing clutchs in it.
  10. Just guessing. Running in oil's not so slippery to allow the engine to bed in. I shouldn't think it'd allow the clutch to wear faster but you never know. If you had that little play at the lever then it should be fine.
  11. There's a couple of sportsters near me, one belonging to my brother in law. They're good on the twisty roads.
  12. Yes it's good on twists to but it's done over 500 in a day and I'd only really need a better seat to make it more comfortable. I get a numb arse on anything. I get your point though, maybe as bike sales have plummeted touring bikes have suffered more.
  13. I guess it's possible the cable was adjusted wrong but would think you'd notice it sliding with your experience. I also wonder as it's a road going model whether its not as good a clutch as the off road.
  14. Called progress. Sports touring sounds faster. My Tracer gt is amongst the Yamaha sports touring range and does it well.
  15. Bummer with the clutch but I guess it wasn't expecting that ride at the beginning of it's life.
  16. Looks more like he's had a tantrum
  17. Know what you're saying but we're all different. I'm really not sure more backbone would help him because she's just an angry nutter. My Andrew is a softie and always has been but I'm a "you made your bed type". He hasn't asked my advise because he knows he'd get something very much like what you'd say I'm sure. If I opened my mouth and it stopped our access in some way it would destroy Mandi and the son.
  18. That's just wrong. I guess I'll have to think we're lucky and keep my gob shut as we have plenty of access to ours.
