Had to leave my works van on site today as it's dead. I suspect a failed starter motor or dodgy solenoid, battery charge is good but nothing happens when you turn the key and being an auto i couldn't bump start it so it's getting recovered tomorrow

Didn't do a lot yesterday because after my lane maintenance on Friday with the machete the knuckle for my middle finger had swollen up on Friday evening for some reason and i couldn't clench a fist. It feels like i have an infection as the swollen area was warm to touch it was like that all day yesterday and this morning. Using my hand today seems to have loosened things up but still cant clench my fist and riding the XR was a pain as the clutch is hard to pull with a good hand so was only out for a few miles to bed the chain in.

What RPM is the tick over at now hopefully not 3000RPM LOL

I started changing the chain and sprockets on the XR today ended up making new wheel spacers for it with what i had left from doing the dogs. Fitted new seals as well, nice and tight now, should keep the crap out and make the wheel bearings last longer

Lithium batteries have a specific way of being charged to prevent damage and charge them correctly so maybe the charging system on the Indian doesn't meet that spec, i will only put a lithium battery on a vehicle that came with one from the factory.

I've wondered the same. they must have heard you there's only 51 now lol

Did the bike come with a Lithium battery from new or a lead acid

Check the bike is charging ok now I've read horror stories of the alternator burning out when the batteries go into safe mode and switch off. This was with bikes that weren't designed to take a Lithium battery.

Nice On a separate note are you taking up Pete's role of buying a bike putting next to zero miles on it and then trading it in for another bike
