My daughter had a short lived interest in the bikes when she was young totally uninterested now. I've asked her a few times if she wants to come for a spin on the bike but she says no instantly LOL The boy was the same

I have used one of these for years does exactly what its supposed to do and fits in my jacket pocket. Would be easy enough to chop the plug off and convert it to connect straight to the battery https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07RSC13TZ?tag=track-ect-uk-10273-21&linkCode=osi&th=1&psc=1&ascsubtag=ecSEP2ermselwldhk3him

This is what he's saying on his Facebook page Firstly, I loaded this 2015 Honda XR650L with 450 miles for sale 5 days ago at £9,995. Today it sold for the full asking price no questions asked to Peter from Alcestor who has been actively looking for a newer model for years. I hear a lot of pub talk from the British experts on the XR650L forums on how they can pay $6,999 for a brand new model and have it imported.... SOUNDS SIMPLE DOESN'T IT? Time to wake up to real world... If you don't have a social security number and a US residency then forget it. The dealer won't sell you one. The next thing to consider is not only the $400 destination charge but also the $200 freight surcharge. It doesn't stop there, a lot of people don't realise that you will also have to pay the dealer adjustment mark up (anything the market will bear at the time), State sales tax, licence, registration and so list goes on. Once you have paid for this you now need to consider getting it to the port, shipping it to the UK, HMRC customs, duties, VAT, MSVA, MOT and DVLA Registration. So I don't mean to burst anybody's bubble but even if you could buy it brand new it certainly won't end up making it to the UK for much less than £12k. On that note, I do have a 2021 model, fully standard, 400 miles that will be here later this year if anybody is interested (see picture below)....

He says he advertised the XR 5 days ago and it sold for the asking price i need to try one i will never spend that amount of cash on a bike I've never ridden same with the DR
-
reading one of their Facebook posts i think a brand new one is £10k as well, the DR and XR have about 500 mile on them so basically new but i'd have to really like it to pay that for it
-
Do you know anything about these the company not the bike @boboneleg https://www.americancruiseruk.com/bike/2020-suzuki-dr650/

That water looks an odd colour Bob, reminds me of the Taff when i was a kid and all the factories upstream used to dump chemicals into it.

Just got off the roof put the trace heating on earlier while i was having a sandwich but when i went out i had forgotten to plug in the extension lead so had to wait a bit before i could start This is the pipe with the trace heating tied on loosely ready for taping up and all the slates with that white stain will need replacing now but i will wait for better weather to do that or until the water enters the kitchen whichever comes first LOL This is it all taped up with aluminium foil tape just need to get some good insulation now i covered it with the old insulation for now

As far as i'm aware the boiler recycles the hot exhaust gases it produces when heating the water so it uses less gas making it more efficient. when the gases cool they produce water that drains to the sewer, as i have found out it cannot be made of metal as the water is corrosive. On my house the only way i could run the pipe was across my kitchen roof into the guttering which then goes to the sewer but it is susceptible to freezing which mine had done so it was running over the roof tiles instead of through the pipe. fixing this is what highlighted the corroded pipe in the boiler cupboard god knows how long it has been leaking definitely months rather than weeks. Its only a drip so has taken a long time to show up in the house as we never go in the boiler cupboard unless there's a problem
