    A bit disappointed and happy with todays bike swap day. Disappointed because the guys bringing the two bikes i actually wanted to try didn't show up but real happy that every 2 stroke bike i rode had me yearning to be on my Beta they were hard work to ride as trail bikes which is great because it means i made the right choice when i bought the Beta X trainer i couldn't wait to get back on it

    You should have stopped at mine for a cuppa i wasn't in but the wife was I avoid the heads of the valley road from Hirwaun to merthyr now as you seen its going to be a pain until 2025, its going to make a hell of a difference when its finished though

    I took the 250 out when it was first introduced and i was happy with it on all the back roads it was the lack of thump on the open road that stopped me from buying one, i like the torque from the 650 and the xr400 i want to see if the 300 is getting near there for me and the 701 is supposed to be a real good trail bike with a huge thump 74hp out of a bike thats about 160kg

    I'm off on a TRF bike swap tomorrow which is a try someone else's bike out, i want to have a go of a crf300L and a Husky 701 god help the fucker lumbered with the dog

    Had a day out on the dog yesterday it was a nice relaxed ride of some scenic back roads and trails some of which were new to me. Had to clear a few fallen branches on route lots down after the recent storms. I must say i'm feeling it a bit today, all photos taken by the guys i was out with, the camera didn't leave my pocket all day LOL. It was hot and dusty finished the day with a cool pint

    This has come around quick, good luck today Pete hope the bitch surprises you and the ride back is real pleasant, just remember she might be a bitch but she is making a huge change in her life and that cant be easy and to top all that she has to deal with you

    I can remember eating them like biscuits when i was a kid. I bought some for our kids so i could try them again they tasted like shit nothing like the memory i have of them

    @boboneleg I've used that white road many times on the way to and from London road, still waiting for replies from the local council to determine its status but obviously used by farm vehicles so hardly a footpath

    I agree Bob. one of the things i think is going to hit this generation the most is when they realise what they think is essential is just luxury , There's lads i work with that pay £50 a month for mobile phones that they think they must have, great when they live with their parents their in for a real shock when they eventually get to the real world, i remember when i first moved in with the wife (girlfriend then) i went through a stage of choosing to put fuel in the bike to get to work instead of buying an electric token for the meter towards the end of the week
