My mate was keen to get out on the Beta's today so didn't bother with the 650. It was a bit chilly setting off this morning but the trails soon warmed us up It was a bit slippery out there today hit the deck a few times but the only time the bike hurt me was before i left this morning moved the bike in the garage and the side stand flipped up and twatted me on my bare shin been hurting all day Allot of this shit today real good workout Bridge was out so had a little look about before turning around Someone left a memorial here its its a nice spot to rest

Could be the same crap i had in my carb
-
Some of the places i find myself your lucky if they sell more than red diesel
-
I am wondering if it is the rubber grease i used when refitting the carb but i cant see how it would get in there and it was red
-
There's filters in the tank that would stop that from getting through plus i hoovered the fuel tank out before refitting it so it was spotless in there
-
No me been out for a couple of hours on it today and checked the float bowl no sign of it returning hoping to have a full day on it tomorrow

Honda say all of their bikes built from 1993 on will run on E10 but i'm sticking with E5 when i can
-
It was like creamy between my fingers with some bits of grit
-
Hence my cast iron comment
-
Not really but that is actually heavy for that type of bike look at this chinky bike better looking and about 40kg lighter https://bikez.com/motorcycles/mash_dirt_track_650_2019.php

No Top Box how did you manage
-
yes i know but as said not always available so been using both, E5 is what i use if available

Not a clue spent the last 3 hours doing keyhole surgery taking the float bowl off the carb without removing it. Had a blocked idle jet which is now clear so the bike picks up a lot better off idle now. I've checked the tank again all looks clean and there's filters in there which wouldn't let that slime through, I did think it was my temp tank i use when the fuel tank is removed but that's clean and also has a filter so i'm at a loss. Another thing that did cross my mind is this new E10 fuel so i checked the carb on the XR and that is fine as well, going for a spin now and will keep an eye on it see if it happens again

They must still be making them out of cast iron that's a heavy bike for a naked 650 single
-
I wondered if anyone would be bored enough to pick up on that. I also read it after i took it
-
I dipped my fingers in and it did have that sort of consistency except there was something gritty as well
-
Took the bike out to warm it up for an oil change tonight and the bloody thing went all fluffy on me for a short while so when i got home i took the float bowl sump bolt out for a look, I think I've found out why the bike died on me on the way home last ride What the fuck is that shit the carb was spotless when i put the bike back together and so is the tank. The crap in the plastic container was in there as well
-
Probably at this stage now
-
That's surprising because he's always polishing something
