Finished putting it together tonight and been out for a run, I'd forgotten how well it pulls and sooo smooth compared to the two stroke, That Beta is turning me into a wimp the clutch is so light on it i had a shock when i got on the dog the clutch was almost a two hand operation something i hadn't noticed before. Changed the oil with some cheap ebay stuff and will swap it again in a few hundred miles if it runs that long. MOT booked for tomorrow and then i can put some miles on it feeling happy

Trouble is Bob he doesn't understand the full functionality of the top box either that or he cant remember how to take it off -
Talking of gloves i always bought these Tech 7 Cyber gloves for the trail bike as i don't like long gloves and i wanted some protection for the road riding but they are now discontinued and everything like them are double the price The pair i have is getting to the end of their life and didn't know what i was going to get next That was until i went to Trago Mills for the first time a few weeks ago and picked up a pair of these they were just over £7 when i checked out, so far i'm well impressed with them so impressed going back to buy a shit load for future use

The West Country to Salobrena Spain

Yes thing is he still would have made the sale if he had told me the chain needs looking at and i would have had more respect for him and what made it worse for me is he was a fucking copper ass hole is all i think now -
Your 200km trip for a cup o tea tends to contradict that statement

Trouble is people lie, When i bought my old Africa Twin the guy said it had new chain and sprockets which when i checked them it seemed to be true and i believed him but a few months later i discovered he had fitted new sprockets but just cleaned the old chain which was totally knackered. -

It's not the same today as it was and the views from up there are great. If they built a modern housing estate there today you would be paying top dollar for the houses If it wasn't for the god awful design on the buildings there it would be a nice place to live https://www.google.com/maps/@51.6459655,-3.4435171,3a,75y,179.11h,98.87t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1s_9Kl1_gwfgR-TDpgrJryMw!2e0!7i13312!8i6656

Sir Fallsalot replied to Pedro's topic in MOTORCYCLE CHAT
I do the same as well its real easy perhaps that's why i liked the paper maps as it was more challenging plotting and riding the route. A lot of people couldn't do it -
The place i live was superposed to be a real rough place in the 70's but more to do with fighting than a shit hole that title was reserved for Penrhys and Lansbury park. now they were real shit holes

I was also the same about the OS maps for finding the green lanes i ride, used to dismiss the electronic devices and say a paper map was all i needed but using the same maps on my phone makes the ride go so much smoother, only a few U turns now. But i do feel i have lost a skill and rely on the device too much i used to enjoy plotting a route and using paper maps -
