I've said this before i was talking to a guy on a new GS years ago and he asked how many bikes i had and at the time i had 5 he said i wish i had enough cash for 5 bikes i told him if he sold his GS he would as all 5 of my bikes cost less to buy, tax, MOT and insure than his GS cost to buy, you just got to be willing not to have the latest and greatest

I did just that. i bought a 1993 Africa twin in 1993 and then bought another about 10 years ago which i still own and i done the same with my CB1000 owned one in 1995 then bought another in 2011 but I've just sold that as for the other bikes i have i've got to say yes i'd have them all again each one i enjoy riding

The village and school were there years before they started tipping at tip No7 so you should have said :- Tip an unstable slag heap above a village, what could possibly go wrong?

Tango just reminded me of a hairy moment on the bike years ago, i was travelling to work on my old CB750 late as usual so pushing three figure speeds, The morning had a clear blue sky but chilly and the roads were mostly clear of traffic. I'm riding on a concrete duel carriageway and in the distance i see a police car pulled over with the blue lights on but because i'm focused on him i didn't spot the reason he was there, He was at the end of a freak hail storm that had covered the road, it was white for about a quarter of a mile i just pulled the clutch in and free wheeled while repeating to myself oh shit oh shit, luckily the road was dead straight at this point and i got through ok. It was weird there was a sharp line on the road where it was dry then went white and back to dry almost like it was laid by hand no fade in and out at all.

But they are bloody good wheels and he'd get most of that back if he got rid of the bike and sold the wheels separate

Yes mines a 2016 and one of the things i'd like is to go is tubeless but don't use the bike enough to justify the cost
