2021 Honda CRF300L Rally Review – First Ride
Sir Fallsalot replied to Peon Maface's topic in MOTORCYCLE REVIEWS
There's a number of things i can list off the top of my head i like over enduro bikes. Low seat height A comfier seat road bike service intervals £3000 cheaper than most enduro bikes Serviceable items should last longer chain tyres etc Good fuel economy Only thing i can think of that might bother me Will i miss the stomp of the bigger bike on the open road and the low down torque Will the soft suspension cope with my lardy arse (don't say loose weight that ain't going to happen) -
That's about the same price as red diesel here that has no road duty attached to it . I blame the people giving up smoking, when people stop smoking the governments revenue drops so they add to fuel so smoke more you bastards

Well your workshop manual says NGK CR7E and so does numerous searches on line for Suzuki GSA 1250s bandit spark plugs so i'd say there's some thing wrong there -

If covid never hit i would have bought a Beta X trainer the beginning of last year but in the meantime the CRF300l came along and now i'm torn between the two. i want something to take the strain off my XR. Thinking of selling the CB to make room but might all be another pipe dream lol -
don't forget the veranda and the west end cafe the three combined known to me as the power ranger triangle

That's why my ear was ringing LOL

I liked the 250 on all the back roads and a few trails i snuck in around Bridgend without blunder road knowing where i was left wanting was on the open roads hoping the 300 will bridge the gap. But i'm also considering a Beta X trainer the CRF is the sensible option but when have i ever been sensible lol -

I spoke to Honda here to see if they had a demonstrator for me to have a go on and he just laughed at me. He said if i ordered one today i'd be lucky to get one by September the demand is so high they cant supply them fast enough. Luckily i know someone who has one and has offered me a go -

I'd just like to point out that in Bobs video at 7m 40 odd where the guy says he undone the bracket with the water pump on, it is actually the thermostat housing -

That's easy NGK and Denso are manufactures of spark plugs, NGK being the most common, CR7E is the plug number for the standard plug and is what you want, so search for NGK CR7E this is not specific to your bike this will be the plug number for probably hundreds of different bikes -

I think the seat height is about 4" higher than your BM but it's a lot lighter -
Has anyone said your a very nice man Bob
-
Yes i got a full on motocross tyre on the front and a Mitas C02 on the rear but i was still sliding about in the wet bits
-
Its illegal here you cannot grow them in the wild or at home but these might have been male plants
-
Did you forget you had them
-
I've accepted this had to be done now so taken the cylinder off to get it honed and going to fit a new set of rings i'm too close not to do this
-
All its time either that or water

No problem with any of the rocker cover bolts and I snapped the exhaust studs many years ago had to drill one out but i replaced them all with stainless steel Alan head bolts and they undone like i put them in yesterday. One of the headers is seized into the Arrow end can but that's not stopping me from doing the work. i got it soaking with penetrating oil I've done a few of these tensioners before Bob the first time was a potch until i found this video on line
