  1. Thanks @Pedro The lake is one of a series of reservoirs that feed the valleys with drinking water i think i get my water from there, as for the dog i had the cylinder honed and a new set of rings even though it was all new 22000 miles ago, i was so close to it i would have regretted it if i didn't do it, the essential work was the 2 new cam chain guides and new cam chain all Honda parts. Total cost for parts was £358 about £100 of that was gaskets. Doing it myself saved me about 2 days of labour which would be about a £1000. if i had to pay someone to do it i would probably have parted out the bike as i only bought it for £800 about 12 years ago
  2. The dog was feeling a bit rough so after a few internal organ replacements it was ready to ride cover your eyes if your squeamish this is open heart surgery. The day started with the rebuild After a little work she lives A few hours later and i'm on the road but thinking i better not stray too far after the rebuild so up to my local byway . It was pointed out to me the shadow looks like a reindeer lol And then onto my mountain After a check for oil leaks it was onto check out a lane that was illegally closed but overturned by the TRF Then some of my favorite tarmac to sennybridge for fuel This is the end of the roman road out of Trecastle only took the photo because it doubled up as a piss stop Then onto the Crychan forest which has been graded and has made it easy enough to drive your car through now Then it was the ride home trying to keep it under 55. past the Llwyn Onn reservoir it was like a mirror these are photos of it up the right way and upside down you tell me which is which On the A470 i had to suffer the humiliation of a scooter rider burning me off because i was bedding things in the fucking wanker had the cheek to wave to me Bike ran beautifully restored my love for it again

  14. A few photos of my mooch about the Lleyn Peninsula on Saturday this was the route its about 150 mile round trip from the campsite First stop was at Criccieth to look at the castle but you had to pre book on line to get in so its just a screen grab from google maps for you lot The wife settled for a walk on the pebble beach, what is it with women as soon as she was on there she starts collecting stuff to take home Thought i might see Bruce bobbing about in the background but no Next stop we had a walk up to this, after some googling found out it used to be a windmill Some great views inland and of the coast, no sign of Bruce though The hills of Snowdonia National Park across the water Stopped at another beach for a walk, i liked this one it was almost deserted and free to park Had a look for Bruce here but still no sign of him Headed back to the campsite via Llanberis pass, shot a little vid on the way up, was real busy as usual luckily the bus pulled in at the top so i had a clear run down the other side We ate and drank far too much over the weekend got to get back on the trail bike to burn it off i think
  15. I just got back from a weekend away with the wife touring a bit of north wales in the marmite wagon. There was a small gathering of people that normally go to a rally i do in February so we met up with them for a few beers in a Pub . The weather Friday was pretty bad but Saturday it was fantastic up there, had a few pints in a pub for the first time in well over a year. It was back to rain today on and off as we drove home
