You can try draining the carb and then turn the fuel on it may flush whats stuck in the float valve seat out or tap the side of the carb with something like a screwdriver handle which may unstick the float or dislodge whatever's in the valve seat, or you can try combo's do all of the above at the same time. Failing that its float bowl off time to have a look whats going on.

I never bothered with these multi tools i find them awkward and cumbersome to use and end up damaging the things your working on, much better to take the tools you need. If your looking to repair punctures you will need the tools to remove the wheels and obviously tyre levers spare tubes or puncture repair kit. Best way to work out what you need is to take things off in the garage look at what tools you used and duplicate them to keep with the bike.

he was definitely invited

I think he was invited to give him the benefit of the doubt a lot of people behave like twats on line but are great in real life floater turned out to be a twat in both worlds

I never liked the AC10 personally anything is an improvement on them. If your only on dry ground you might be better going for a more duel sport type tyre on the rear like the Mitas E09 i find it a really good all round tyre. The Mitas E09 front tyre is shit though i wouldn't use one of those again
-
The front rim is 21x1.60 so i think you want this one https://www.enduroportugalshop.com/collections/acessorios-pneus/products/trava-de-pneu-motion-pro-1-60

You surprise me there Bob I've not had any issues running rim locks at all. The XR comes with rim locks from factory so I've always had them fitted. On the 650 i done valve stems a few times on the rear wheel i use with the off road tyre on so fitted a rim lock and that problem has gone and i usually run about 15psi. I got no rim lock on the wheel with the more road type tyre on and also run that about 15psi but haven't had a problem with that one. I just remembered i got a Mitas E09 on the back of the XR for the dryer weather and i run that about 12 PSI i found it made a big difference with the grip off road over 15psi so wouldn't run without a rim lock on that one

@Pedro Just ask or google a rim lock for the front wheel they are pretty much all the same

Nice Pete? i could be wrong but it sorta looked like you were riding on a dirt road, 5 hours of cleaning to follow ?

I have read in the 1950's The Chapel was burnt down destroying the only copy of the burial records. The Local word is that the fire was caused by Devil Worshipers.
-
From the little information i can find it was a medieval chapel which will make it a thousand years old Its a public road which suffers some awful fly tipping its really bad up there but looks like their cleaning it up now JPR Phoenix, your guess is as good as mine probably some company employed to monitor the area by the local council

I had a little jaunt on the 650 tonight they have put gates and locked them on my favorite mountain road along with CCTV i'm hoping this is just for the fly tippers. i could get around the gates no problem and didn't cover my number plate as i want to find out if there are any consequences to riding through there as there are no signs saying no vehicles. The first gate was to allow horses through no trouble getting the bike over there This one has a small gate to the left which is unlocked for now And this one at the far end was easy to go around I went home along the ridgeway on the next valley across and stopped in this old cemetery, I've put photos of this up before i think, this is the ruins of the Chapel i approached the steps and when i turned to go up them this bloody doll made me jump a bit i just took some random photos of the grave stones and when i put them on the computer i had a read of them and was saddened to read there were for children after a bit of research i found someone who thinks there was a lot of scarlet fever victims buried here Here's some drone footage i found of the cemetery, Turn the volume up there's a welsh choir singing for you On the way home i noticed the tyre noise had increased quite a lot compared to when i went out which started the alarm bells ringing when i got home just what i thought flt rear which in a way is good because as i was leaving to go out i thought to myself its getting time to turn the rear tyre so that's tomorrows job

I was talking to a friend earlier and he said his mate was out on his Ducati going over the beacons when he spotted about a dozen police bikes in the layby ahead he got a bit worried about being out so decided to do a u turn and when he did he lost his footing and dropped the bike on the road, The coppers were there in seconds not to book him but to help him pick the bike up they asked him why he turned around as they wouldn't have pulled him because he was on his own and riding sensibly. They were just there on a training exercise he done a £1000 worth of damage turning it around it would have been a lot cheaper getting booked He's got one of those new panigale v4 S version and the fall broke the handlebar off had to get it recovered to get home

I've had my day off work lay in and just finished breakfast, now waiting for my morning constitutional and then its off to work. The mothering laws fence blew down 2 weeks ago and i'm using the timber i stripped from my shuttering in the front garden to rebuild it, this is recycling at its finest it was used for shuttering down my mates house a couple of years ago then at mine and now is going to be a permanent part of a fence. Spent a the last two weeks drying it out and treating it with wood preserver so its ready to go even if i'm not.

The only thing that has bothered me is not being out on the bike and away on the weekends with the wife but its not getting me down. Monday to Friday all i ever do is eat sleep and work anyway but since covid it has been great, no sat in traffic for hours going to and from work so less stress when driving and half the assholes i normally deal with are either working from home now or furloughed. I've also saved loads of money not being able to go anywhere so i might actually finish my front and rear gardens this year leaving me even more time for the bikes win win for me
