  5. I never thought of Spain like in my head its always hot there. Here it's 2.5ºc and dry at the moment but go 18 miles north of here and its been covered in snow all week we had a bit last night but it didn't stick
  6. @Pedro understands you are just a square peg in a square hole ?
  7. I think i can top that this is me in the middle in about 86 i think
  8. This was the 80's even better but still judged by what you rode feeling it a bit right now ?
  9. LOL i was just going to put that on here myself
  10. Yup its like that throughout the UK my trip to work in the morning is 45 miles and it will take me just over an hour and most of that route is motorway where i'll be doing my best to keep up 80mph
  11. This was my first road legal bike after passing my test at 18 years old. I bought it part built when i was 17 and finished it off just before i passed my test, i loved riding it about me and the wife spent a lot of time on it. A bigger motor would have been nice but i probably would have killed myself i was daft enough on this
  12. You wouldn't think it was anywhere near that weight when on it, the seat height is low and the fuel tank is underneath it.
  13. Something like the Honda NC750 is what i'll be looking at when i can no longer get my leg over the taller adventure bikes. I took a DCT one out as a courtesy bike when mine went in for a service and it was so easy to ride on any road or track in any weather the only complaint was the rear shock but this was on an early model and not the X. It was ridiculously good on fuel and i must have enjoyed it because when i took it back i had put 250 miles on it just bumming around. It was also good at killing Pheasants i had two on my trip the girl at the service centre wasn't impressed by the giblets hanging off it when i took it back LOL
  14. The tyre restrictions doesn't apply to all the classes i'm not sure who is and who isn't affected by it
  15. That looks real clean how old was it when you owned it
  16. So what i want to know is what you all done to get these women to react like this
  17. Same here, i did drop the van off down the hill for a puncture repair ready for tomorrow and the walk back up nearly killed me i'm so unfit after the last two weeks of abuse I've given myself
  18. I've wasted the last 2 weeks so why should today be any different I've done fuck all again
  19. Thanks for that Yen i enjoyed that, ridden a lot of it myself but at a more sedate pace and recognise a few of the names in there ?
  20. That's right Bob. i know some on here will say that's nothing, in the US where you have thousands of miles of open roads i would agree but here in the UK its different riding that distance as you know Bob. It was 580 ish miles if i remember right
  21. I was thinking about the time i rode the British from around Pontypool to Blaenavon its about 5.5 mile long quite technical and i was pushing myself along it. About half way i started thinking when is it this going to fucking end LOL and these guys are doing that for 500 miles at a time. Done 500 miles straight on uk roads with a mix of unclassified roads to motorways once and that almost killed me.
  22. I do think this problem is real I've seen how ill my wife was with it so i try not to take any risks. I've just had 14 days off work and have left the house twice to go on the bike for the sake of my sanity and a few times in the car to drop my daughter off at work, and the whole time watching the world carry on as normal through my window. Tomorrow i'm back at work with about 30 others on a construction site with all the hazards associated with it and travelling 100 miles a day to get there and back with the biggest fuckwits you'd ever encounter on the roads and that is deemed all ok by the government but go out on my bike for a few hours where i don't encounter anyone else on the quietest of roads and trails once a week and that's not allowed in case i fall off go figure
  23. I think its a matter of using common sense there's no need to go visiting anyone or go into shops when out. you can fill at the pump if you need fuel and if you keep the trip short i cant see a problem, when i went out a week ago coppers in a patrol car waved me out of a junction in front of them, probably to check my plate but never stopped me.
