You will be better off trying something like this or something like it near to where you live, it will give you a good idea if it's for you or not https://www.yamaha-offroad-experience.co.uk/off-road-experience-course/

So let me see if i got this right, you want to drive 5 hours down to here then spend the weekend learning to ride off road on my bike and then fuck off home while i fix everything you bent smashed or dented on the bike hmm i'll have to think about that one
-
You do realise your about 5 hours away from me don't you LOL
-
It's the bike fit bit that would probably fuck you up, I've been out with gym rats who are physically fit but once on the bike they realise its a different kind of fitness and are totalled after a few hours
-
i'm not that quick anymore he could probably walk faster than i can ride
-
Not much difference it only had 200mm anyway, it would be a great tool for plodding around the countryside here it was never a dirt bike for racing just a trail bike for exploring
-
I like it but Might be spoilt by the chinky motor
-
Yes and that has an engine to haul it's ass around and needs to be built that way, i just don't get why a small engine bike is so heavy when it's clear they can be made lighter
-
It's certainly ugly enough for a KTM design LOL
-
At the risk of sounding like you Pete it's a heavy lump for a 500 no matter how well it carries it this is what they say about the weight The already lightweight package now weighs in a total of 3kg less than before, at a total of 196kg. Who or what the hell are they comparing it to to think its already a lightweight package, in my head a 500cc bike should be a lot lighter than that with modern technology and materials
-
Any other photos of it

The Chinks are at it again why haven't i seen this before

Its probably more like 30Kg less as it carries 6 more litres of fuel and it is supposed to have around 95 horses stuffed inside the engine, on paper it ticks all the boxes i'm interested in and looks good same as their 450. I'm hoping these bikes will wake the japs up and get them out of the ruts their stuck in. -

Got out today to try my new seat out ended up the same place as last weekend but with much more time to play with so rode most of the lanes in the area, spent over five hours riding and cannot believe how much difference there is between the stock seat and the seat concepts one, I got home with no monkey butt whatsoever, only regret is i should have gone for the standard height seat instead of the low one there's about 25mm difference between them, the low one is ultra comfy so the standard height one must be like an armchair. Almost every lane had water running along them took some photos of the best of them. The heavens opened in the afternoon but it didn't matter as i was on my way home and everything was soaking anyway. The low sun flickering through the trees and glaring off the water on the roads and trails made riding difficult in places as i couldn't see where i was going, Thoroughly enjoying the new bike even though its the same it rides different just seems easier to ride. Some wet photos of the day. looking down to where i am in the photo above And this is why i have such a heavy pipe guard gave it a hell of a donk on a rock, pipe would have needed blowing out it it wasn't fitted for sure This was last weekends outing but the same lane ridden today, made sure i missed the rock today
