  1. Spent today cutting wood and splitting it at my parents home ready for me to burn next winter not a great deal of it will need a lot more I was looking around and there's going to be some shit to move when they pass on lol. All the stone in the walls in these photos was dug out of the ground and built by my father. I did help as a pre teen as well, just looking at what has been dug i recon over the years he's hand dug hundreds of tons to level the land off there is similar work done at the front as well, he also built the house himself with help from his brother and father All the trees to the left here may have to come down as there is a 100ft drop into a railway cutting and they have just electrified the line so falling trees could damage the overhead supply So to make the railways greener by electrifying the line they have to cut all the threes in this screen shot down the ones on the right of the line are on my dads property and they have suggested he's got to cut them down he's too old to give a shit now though lol And these looking the other way
  2. That's very nice of you will breakfast be included
  3. You now own a bike perfect for mousse's Bob it takes so many what if's away, granted they don't last long and are expensive but worth every penny. The Beta was the first bike i have ever had them on and will always use them on that type of bike from now on
  4. He doesn't slag off other peoples bikes that's why, You cant expect to slag off peoples pride and joy because you don't like it and not get shit back personally i quite like the CB500 and might have a variant of it in the future but yours is shit especially that top box
  5. Saul for everything to become good for the environment we have to put up with shit products most vehicle paint is now water based so not as tough and hard wearing as the cellulose paints of old
  6. My 2016 Africa Twin was made in Japan and like i said before if my bike was like my mates it might have put me off Honda all together he had so many issues to do with build quality
  7. That's definitely not me i can't bunny hop and heard you can't breath at 10mph so stay well away from there LOL
  8. If you were 70 years old in the 40’s you would be talking the same way about the japs you’re looking back at what they have achieved not what they could achieve their bikes build quality is getting worse and the chunk stuff is getting better. I can see that between my old and new model Africa twin
  9. Not yet your right but they are shoving them in all sorts now so it wont be long before we find out if they can hack it or not
  10. FFS stop telling him where i live
  11. Even the Japs started from nowhere at some point it doesn't happen overnight the chinks are trying we will have to wait until they either succeed or fail though https://www.rideapart.com/news/631796/kove-dakar-debut-2023/
  12. You will be better off trying something like this or something like it near to where you live, it will give you a good idea if it's for you or not https://www.yamaha-offroad-experience.co.uk/off-road-experience-course/
  13. So let me see if i got this right, you want to drive 5 hours down to here then spend the weekend learning to ride off road on my bike and then fuck off home while i fix everything you bent smashed or dented on the bike hmm i'll have to think about that one
  14. You do realise your about 5 hours away from me don't you LOL
  15. It's the bike fit bit that would probably fuck you up, I've been out with gym rats who are physically fit but once on the bike they realise its a different kind of fitness and are totalled after a few hours
  16. i'm not that quick anymore he could probably walk faster than i can ride
  17. Not much difference it only had 200mm anyway, it would be a great tool for plodding around the countryside here it was never a dirt bike for racing just a trail bike for exploring
  18. I like it but Might be spoilt by the chinky motor
  19. Yes and that has an engine to haul it's ass around and needs to be built that way, i just don't get why a small engine bike is so heavy when it's clear they can be made lighter
  20. It's certainly ugly enough for a KTM design LOL
  21. At the risk of sounding like you Pete it's a heavy lump for a 500 no matter how well it carries it this is what they say about the weight The already lightweight package now weighs in a total of 3kg less than before, at a total of 196kg. Who or what the hell are they comparing it to to think its already a lightweight package, in my head a 500cc bike should be a lot lighter than that with modern technology and materials
  22. Its probably more like 30Kg less as it carries 6 more litres of fuel and it is supposed to have around 95 horses stuffed inside the engine, on paper it ticks all the boxes i'm interested in and looks good same as their 450. I'm hoping these bikes will wake the japs up and get them out of the ruts their stuck in.
