I think I've said before my dentist insisted on getting his whole hand in my mouth every time i was in the chair when i left i always felt like i'd been in a fight and thought it was just normal for dental work that was until i had to use a different dentist in the practice, first time with a woman and it was almost a pleasure compared to the bloke that was beating me up, so i told them at the reception i didn't want to be worked over by him again and wanted to be treated by the woman in future he was a butcher

2023 Honda SCL500 First Ride Review
Sir Fallsalot replied to Hugh Janus's topic in MOTORCYCLE REVIEWS
I don't like that fuel tank and the way it sits on the frame and what the fuck are they doing with the colour looks like the designers are still arguing over whether it should be brown black white or green damn ugly bike something i would have been interested in if it hadn't fallen out the ugly tree -
I had an F1 to commute on for a few years good bike bought it in kit form for £300 it came with a new Honda seat still in the wrapper which was £300 on its own so i'd bought a new seat and a bike came with it LOL
-
Did you ever think when you were out riding your bike someone was in riding your ex
-
Been raining here on and off this morning hoping it will stay dry for me to take the bike for an MOT in half hour
-
You only have to walk 10 minutes into town from here and you will hear half the accents of the world

Got a new battery for the bike today, a little trick i do is to put a piece of foam rubber under the battery terminal nuts to hold them in place it also helps start the screw when you have a few extra accessories added to the battery terminals making the screw too short to reach the nut I also bit the bullet and stripped the carbs off the bike to clean them out, couldn't see anything wrong with the main jets but both pilot jets looked blocked so cleaned them out and blew all the fuel lines out. It's now its running on both cylinders again going to have run it at least once a month from now on just to keep it going and maybe one day i'll clean the outside of the carbs LOL

Fuck is it over i thought the dead line for voting was 10:00, sorry Pedro i forgot to switch vote from Marcel to you
-
Done that and its all clear, i cant remember the last time i started the bike, the MOT ran up in September last year so just been sat in the corner of the garage, going to pull the plugs on the front cylinder to check them first as that's the one that's not running, Tested with the very technical process of placing a wet finger on the header pipes to see which one doesn't hiss LOL
-
The MOT ran out on the CRF1000 last week so while maneuvering it into a place i can get it out easier from for the MOT this Friday i thought i'd start the old Africa Twin, put key in and turns it on, everything lights up press starter and click another fucked battery as the trickle charger says it's ok, no problem though i get the Noco Boost out and away we go churning and churning and churning, took ages for it to start firing and then run but only running on one cylinder FFS so it's carbs off again, a job i hate doing on most bikes this one in particular, that's my weekend sorted, not going to attempt it until the CRF is MOT'd as i have to move too much about to get it where i can work on it

Yes i was the same but there were limits i wouldn't go beyond this is the photo of the car he hit i think it was a Subaru forester, hit it so hard he turned it on its side.

He always thought he was the fastest on the road to Llandovery and i gave up riding with him because he always wanted to race but was shit on roads he didn't know as he couldn't read the road so used to get really pissed off when i'd leave him behind. He was quick on the Llandovery road because he used to ride it every day of the week so he knew it well but i could see he was the type that was happy to kill himself trying to beat you. I thought it was very selfish of him and left a girlfriend he was with for over 15 years with no home as she wasn't in the will and it went to his son who kept putting the rent up until she left even though it should of been her house. Then there was the woman he ploughed into the side of who was in a coma for two weeks and almost died luckily she recovered, and as usual the biker community blamed her for pulling out on him they totally ignored the fact he was doing over 100MPH on a 60MPH road around a left hand bend with a blind junction

My mate dead Phil always said he'd make sure he didn't draw a pension and he didn't died on the bike riding like a twat

Just put plenty of paper down until you sus it out although my stirrer design might have been flawed, glad i was outside when i done it just took a photo can you tell where the paint tin and my feet were
-
I made a paint stirrer for the drill because i had some bitumen paint for some outdoor waterproofing that takes some stirring. first go my trainers and joggers went in the bin, the tin cost about £30 and £10 ended up all over me and the floor, the floor is still stained with it LOL

@Specs i think the seat does break in or your arse does lol although i haven't been anywhere far enough in the last few years to test that theory on mine.
-
What you have to remember is the bike cost less than £10k so i wouldn't expect it to be as comfortable as a GS but then you could spend 2k on suspension and a better seat and still be £4k better off than buying a GS. I think the Transalp and my Africa Twin when i bought it was built as a blank canvas that you can customise to your own tastes without running the bill up to £20k
-
That photo is probably cropped by the conspiracy assholes anyone that has more than a 2D mind can see what is going on there this poorly photo shopped image may help you see the truth
-
I caught it in the corner of my eye as i rode past and an oh fuck what the hell was that entered my head so i turned around for the photo, if it was the middle of the tunnel i might have just kept going and not look back LOL
