  1. I started the stripping it was hard on me really like this bike just got to keep telling myself the new one will be better. So far I've removed the oversize tank, rad guards, swing arm protectors, spot lights heated grips, 12v socket outlet, sump guard and mirror. All i have left is the front and rear springs to remove but it is as i want it to take it to the bike shop to get a proper price for the part ex. Everything except the oversize tank will fit the new bike so that will be up for sale so i can put it towards a big tank for the new bike that's the plan anyway. Now i'm moody as fuck, so moody I've been snoozing anyone on my Facebook page for 30 days that mentions the 20mph speed limit as that's all I've been seeing on there for the last month and it's pissing me off
  2. Would it make any difference if you told them it was for your only fans account LOL
  3. I just find i hard to part with stuff the induction heater that blew up the other day took me over a week to throw in the bin after failing to repair it and even then i stripped it of bits i think i might need in the future, if it was a sickness i would have been on life support most of my life
  4. Their a good bike Bob hope you get on with it
  5. Awesome you bought a classic trials bike LOL
  6. I haven't done anything to it yet only ride destroy and service it. I'm just looking at whats going to need doing in the not to distant future, if i had all the parts here i could easily strip, replace and and rebuild it over a weekend just don't want to, can you tell i'm still trying to convince myself to change it LOL
  7. So what you been looking at. I thought something like a Beta ALP 4.0 would be something you would like with its simplicity low seat height and the DR350 engine in it
  8. This is more of a common sense thing, when i first bought it i went through a honeymoon period and put what apparently is a lot of hours on it (138). Now it needs a lot of maintenance i don't want to do but all expected as i did do some research before buying the bike, if i go by the book i should have changed the following by now gearbox bearing piston and rings (twice) drive shaft bearings con rod water pump oil seal clutch discs All easy enough on a two stroke but it's an engine out job and down time with the bike in bits, so the theory is i by a new bike use it less because the novelty has gone and keep it longer and look after it better.
  9. I've not had a go of one been deliberately avoiding it in case i like it because they are so much money to buy for what they are
  10. Test there was no test back then as long as you sat facing the handle bars without any help you were good to go not like when i done mine we actually had to ride the bike
  11. Oi you shouldn't toy with a mans feelings especially when he's feeling depressed, I've been in the garage for an hour trying to start stripping all the extras off the Beta ready to part ex it but i just couldn't bring myself to do it, i like the bike too much so came back in here to try and convince myself to do it as i'll be getting a better bike only to receive abuse in my vulnerable state of mind
  12. Be better with an engine but you have to make do with what you got it looks cold there in the photos, i wish i could rekindle the flame i used to have with push bikes before i had motorbikes there's so many places to go here with one, i have tried many times over the years but it just didn't work for me
  13. Weather here is not looking too good which means i wont be pointing my wall, will i go for a ride ? i have nothing stopping me but me i think i will leave that until the morning to see how i feel when i wake up
  14. You know what they say Pete there's an arsehole in every town or village all over the world and if you cant find one where you live than that can only mean one thing . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . IT'S YOU
  15. I was thinking of paved roads. i'm hoping you found your way up through the Elan valley and over to Tregaron.
  16. Out of interest what are the wages like for people like plumbers carpenters and electricians in Spain
  17. Nope that's where i keep my work clothes and exit my house for work in the mornings LOL
  18. Just change two of the light fittings in the garage, one stopped working months ago the other went bang this morning not what i wanted when i was half asleep nearly shat myself, hope the others hold out don't want to change anymore at £35 each. Got the old Africa twin warming up now since i had to move everything to get to the one light.
  19. @Pedro i hope your going to put your route up so i can point out all the great places you rode right by LOL
  20. Are you sure Sounds like just the types to end up in some Spanish ghetto
  21. Yup and there's parts you can double that on the right bike, like here LOL
