When we went to Italy they were like that i only changed them 3 years ago LOL

When mine were warped they weren't throwing left to right they were dished, the pads always dragged a little ever since i had the bike it was only when i took the discs off the wheel i noticed how bad they were i could slide the metal part of the pad under the disc where i should have been struggling to fit a fag paper

Now this is where i agree with you Pete. This guy is a bit out of his depth i believe there is such a thing as the right tool for the job and this is definitely the wrong tool for this job yet the tool riding it and a number of tools commenting on it will probably quote that old line "it's being used for what it was designed for" well no its a bike not a fucking boat, I gave him your number Pete as he asked for help and i know how you like to help, he's on the TET in Andalusia that's near you in it PS. wear gloves Now these guys are in the same area using the right tools and using their head

Well you learn something everyday i just assumed a behemoth like that would suit the larger gentleman, then again its typical Japanese design i bet the suspension was designed for a 70kg ( 154Ib ) guy as well

I agree with some of what you say but you could also say that you would be better off riding a scooter about because it's much easier to manoeuvre than your CB500 but you don't want to be seen on a scooter
-
Is it just the fuel range that puts you off or is there other stuff as well
-
Got fuck all to do with the bike being too big just rider error or inexperience and the prick sounds like its his mate, Mates forgive each other

Just to let you know i was able to take the bowl off the carb and remove the jets and floats without removing the carb from the bike for when you do yours

Been tinkering with the XR most of the day ready for a TRF ride on Monday Put the new Non gay tyre on the off road wheel as it doesn't make sense to wear out a nobbily tyre on hard ground, The rockrider was a bitch to fit and couldn't get it to sit on the bead properly no matter how much lube i used or how hard i got it, hoping the ride on Monday will sort that out. Next was to fit a new front sprocket and then i had to sort a drippy carb. After removing the float bowl and float valve i found what looked like a bit of hard plastic before the float valve must have fallen in the open fuel pipe when i had the tank off the other week, while i was in there i also changed the pilot jet to see if i could get rid of the flat spot off idle that's been there forever, went from a 55 to a 58 pilot jet because that's what i had, seems have made a big improvement but everything i read on line says it should be a 60 so may pick one up and try it. Late afternoon me and the wife went out in the marmite wagon to give it a run stopped in The Black Cock Inn Caerphilly Mountain for a pint on the way home, when i was there 4 lads pulled in on those sur-ron's no plates and seemed oblivious to the fact they are not legal to ride on the roads without a licence tax MOT and insurance, now i'm sat in the house downing a few bottles of suds adding to the crap on here
-
Looks like a great ride Bob did you go around the road closed sign
