Usually I like to ride south in September. Way less traffic, no motorhomes, not as hot and no crowds

I'll have to wait until covid is under control and they open the borders again but I'm thinking of riding one of my favorite trip route's. Take off East from Vancouver through BC into Alberta then head South down into Montana and follow the Rocky mountains through Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, and then cross over California to the pacific ocean and ride up the west coast through California, Oregon and Washington back to Vancouver.

It's not just the sex trade. Go back in time from the 1800's to the early 20th century when Europe was colonizing Africa. Germany and particularly Belgium were absolutely brutally cruel and sadistic to any African people that had the misfortune of being colonized by them.

I got my first ticket on my way home from my driving test in my 66 GTO when i was 16. I've had enough since then to completely fill a couple of cops ticket books over the years. The worst i ever had was in 2000 on my Blackbird in Concrete Washington. Apparently the cops had been trying to catch us since we took off on Hwy 20 just outside of Winthrop which is 50 miles before you hit the city of Concrete WA. They had three cruisers blocking the road just outside of town and had guns drawn. Me and the two other idiots friends of mine ended up getting arrested and spent Sunday night in jail. Who knew that the didn't like people going 140 miles an hour on their stretch of the Hwy. I am guilty of so much more stupidity on bikes that i'm amazed that i didn't kill myself tbh. It took my friend Bogdan's death on another one of our adventures to finally get me to stop being such an idiot on the street. That's when i took it to the track and started racing to satisfy my cravings for speed and adrenalin. Bogdan was one of the guy's who was arrested with me in Washington the year before. We were riding on Hwy 12 here in BC. It's a very twisty narrow road that hugs really rocky cliffs. He was in the lead when we came around a tight decreasing radius corner and just after it he ran into a small rock slide. He hit it going well over 100 miles an hour. Bogdan and his Busa cartwheeled for about 200 feet together before they both flew off the road and tumbled down a very steep drop off about 400 feet. I was the first person to get down to him and he died while i held him about 5 minutes later.I no longer ride fast on the street. tbh i rarely even ride on the street at all anymore. I get my high speed fix by road racing and racing my motards. if i ride on the street at all it's to get into the mountains on one of my dualsports.

Bet you didn't know this. Where do you think my user name came from?. He's a distant cousin of mine. My last name is the same except when my side of the family emigrated from Jersey the most likely drunk on screech customs plonk misspelled it and added another s. So it's been LeMessurier ever since we came to Newfoundland

You want a nice sv650 they are superb all rounders, handle just as good as the Honda's and are super reliable to boot. My wife has one and loves it. I had to lower her's 2 inches though and she is only 5 feet tall. I also installed a handle bar conversion kit on it that brings them in 2 inches as well and she has ridden many 6 to 8 hour days on it with no problems

or in reality...."too cheap to pay someone to do it"

Done. Not bad 6 hours to remove, rebuild and reinstall a transfer case. Lucked out, only had the broken tab off the pump and it didn't do any damage. Found it stuck on the donut magnet in the pan. New bearings, seals, oil pump and clutch plates and she is as good as new. Saved myself 2500 bucks to boot

We had epic forum wars back then didn't we Tym?

Maintenance day on both trucks. Got to install new brake pads and brake shoes on the nissan pick up and I have to yank the transfer case out of my sierra and rebuild it. All the shops here want over 2 grand for a reman unit so I am doing it myself. I can't really bitch too much as the sierra has served me very well and has been virtually trouble free for over 200000 miles. It has the dreaded new process 246 broken oil pump tab failure So I have to do it before it destroys the case to the point I can't rebuild it. Fortunately my buddy 'is letting me use the hoist in his shop. The days of me lying on the ground fixing shit are long over

Here's a older one of my Blue Blackbird in Oregon. The building is the old world war 2 blimp hanger. the next one is the Columbia river where it meets the Pacific ocean. Grand Canyon shot Old gas station in Utah Bonneville Salt flats in Utah I loved that Blackbird, It was simply bullet proof. Sold it to a friend with 160000 kilometers on the clocks. Over 100000 kilometers on it alone came from touring across Canada and the States a bunch of times.

2003 was the year that car rear ended me at the stoplight. That one was nasty. I still have health issues from it. Although if you think about it from a different perspective, she hit me going 58kms an hour I am very lucky to not be either dead or paralyzed
