    When it gets like that I prefer to quietly hike through the forest and enjoy the snow. I never mastered walking in snow shoes, so that would be fun too! . ohhh...maybe some cross-country skis......yaya I don't always need to be on a bike to have fun!

    Most of Canada gets proper snow. Here on the west coast it can get cold and have proper snow, but only lasts for a week though, then it turns into rain again. Most of the time it only lasts a day, or melts right away. I think I will be heading north in the future, I would like to live in the snow again!

    The weekend looks COLD here, even calling for some snow!! Which is cool by me, I have been missing the snow and I need some more snow photos!!

    Do you get a lot of high winds where you are?

    The sun is out today and I was going to go for a ride, but my old dog had a bad night last night and I think I should stay close to her today. Perhaps some yard clean up later, as it is a mess from the storms.

    I was having fun with my macro lens and some maple leaves the other week. Just had a chance to look at the shots and some are really cool. The patterns never cease to amazing me.

    I had the same thing happen after The Singing Wilderness, nothing would hold my attention. Until Never Cry Wolf....I'm having a grand time reading it.... ......well about the shy thing, in The Singing Wilderness the author describes fly fishing with such beauty that I wanted to try it some day, and well the last time someone mentioned fishing on here it didn't go well I recall.....

    Yes, the snowflakes can get crazy big here.... I've lived with it all my life, but every year I am the same....just amazed at the beautiful of each snowflake.

    Currently I am reading Never Cry Wolf by Farley Mowat Love it so far, I can see why it is such a popular classic. Everything I do lately seems to lead me to the North.....

    Thanks for the recommendation, I have to say that does sound good. I love books that have a celebration of nature, or just lots of it. I was going to share this on here before but got shy about it, but now that we are talking about nature and books......     Wow.....the birthday wishes are super sweet and I appreciate them very much.... BUT To have this post started by the one and only Buckster, just makes my day..... It's the small gestures in life that make a difference...... so much for TOTY for you dude.....just saying.... ........hey wait "50", maybe you could have said 35..... Now I'm rethinking my vote.....

    Looks like a nice ride. I love ridding in the fog, always a bit scary due to low visibility, but that's part of the fun.

    Well looks like I will be staying close to home this weekend. Most of the forest service roads are closed due to the rain storm. Too many mud slides and trees down over the road. So much for my Himalayan fun. Then my favourite road along with many of the side roads are still closed, so much for my Honda fun.... ....and NOW we have fuel rationing because the supply roads are such a mess and they can't get volume through, only 30L allowed at one time per visit......so much for my 4x4 fun. Sooooo, good thing I have many fun and interesting projects around the house to keep me busy....
