  1. Ok, I know you are still upset about your BOTM loss last round due to my awesome piece of shit bike, but you can let it go now..... .....we are into a new round, there is hope for you this time around.....
  2. Nice. I do agree for the most part with the photographer over the gear thing..... as a professional photographer for 25 years now I just enjoy the gear and like to know what people are using.
  3. Building in the spare tire, some recovery gear, camping gear, a fridge, boating gear, camera gear areas....stuff like that.... Doing the "overlanding" thing, for lack of a better word. We had a van, but we needed more of a 4x4 for where we like to adventure....
  4. I'm not too sure how to react to that......ummmmmmm ......ya, I've got nothing to say that won't make it sound worse.......
  5. Oh dear.....you are starting to get to know me @Tym Very nice stuff there, I do have some similar items.....
  6. After several configurations were tested, I concluded more "useable" space was required for the desired result. So.....out come the the rest of the seats. NOW THIS I CAN WORK WITH! I have now done this to 3 vehicles and the previous 2 are both vehicles I had many fun adventures in and look back on with very good memories! So I'm looking forward to the adventures to come in my Toyota with no seats!
  7. That is a nice idea, but would count me out most months. I live in a land locked small rural coastal area, not much here but trees, water, trees, rocks, trees, and some trees for a crazy change up of pace......
  8. So true. Soon I will forget the troubles and carry on blissfully. But you know the gremlins are just waiting till I least expect it......
  9. Thursday was the first proper full day of rain we've had here in months. That meant a ride through the fresh rainforest was in order today. The Himalayan started, ran great the whole ride, almost better than ever! It seems Bagheera and I are having some luck for a change. What an amazing ride! Have a fun weekend everyone!
  10. What a face! But those little claws look nasty..... Captured this fun shot on my walk this morning. A Douglas Squirrel
  11. Some beautiful shots Pedro. I love the light at that time of day! Your bike is looking good, some BOTM pics there for sure!
  12. Same here.... It was a bicycle wipe out going down a big hill. The gravel bits in the hands was not fun. Besides that, I just don't like the feel of no gloves. I always thought driving gloves were cool, for any vehicle.....lol
  13. Of course I loved riding pillion as a kid. I think I was on a bike before I could walk....lol But in the 25 years I have been riding, I have only rode pillion once for a period of time, when we were commuting from the city to the Coast during the winter over big freeways and onto ferries. The conditions were bad and it was better for us to be on one bike. I would hit cars and keep them back while we rode through the city. The night rides were dark, wet and cold, so it was nice to share the body heat. It was a bit crazy, but we managed, we were young! That was about 20 years ago now, since then I have not been a pillion. I prefer to control my own ride.
  14. The weather here today is a mixed bag of clouds, sun, lots of wind and flying branches. Think I will go for a lovely Sunday ride on the Honda. Maybe stop at the beach to watch the waves roll in.
  15. Well that looks like fun too!
  16. Wow, I am so used to seeing your super blue skies, the cloudy sky is a nice change, for someone who likes clouds.
  17. It was funny, as I was riding along I was thinking, WOW, the bike is running so nicely and everything is good. Then I SNAPPED out of it and removed the happy thoughts from my head until I was back at home, then I was allowed to say, GREAT RIDE!
  18. Autumn is arriving early this year, which is all good by me.
  19. The mid August day was cooler, as the hot summer days seemed to have passed. A light rain the evening before had made the gravel roads a bit less dusty and the forest brightened up with a fresh green. My Himalayan was running just right, a happy single just thumping away. With all that and some quiet roads through the forest, you have a wonderful August excursion. A short stop at the lake doesn't hurt either, to make the ride there that much sweeter.
  20. NICE!! I'm curious to know how you will like it.
