Went for a ride on Bagheera today. It was sunny and unseasonably warm already. ? They had just put down some fresh gravel and the grader was out working, getting the roads ready for the logging trucks. This all meant the gravel was thick, dry and loose.....super slippery and DUSTY!!!! I'm working on a short video from the day, but here is an example of the dust...

Taking your bike out of storage....... -
The Barkbusters do help with the wind and they have saved my levers a few times.

Better than a kick in the head with a wet mukluk! Inuit style....?

Bagheera seems to love crazy conditions, it is his fault we get into them....lol No heated grips, I have enough trouble with my battery as it is. Need to get a new one ASAP (I also like to suffer for some strange reason, that whole feeling alive thing....?)

Ride Log April 10, 2021 Mount Elphinstone Provincial Park is located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in British Columbia, Canada. There are a few gravel roads that travel through the park and offer the locals a great place to adventure into the backcountry and play the day away. We ride there a lot during the summer and fall, but thought we would ride up there this Spring and see where the snow line was at. The tires on our bikes are not meant for snow in any way, so we go as far as we can. After some slip sliding around, we decided to turn around at 666 meters (more like our tires said, GO HOME SILLY ?) . We will try again soon, as it is one of our favourite roads! ? Fun ride and great experience, I even managed to keep the rubber side down. A slipping and a sliding.... The forest did look beautiful with the fresh snow. ?

We have a lot of roads like that around where I live too. The difference is, I am always riding with someone, you out there on your own takes it to a different level. Good to know you are such a safe rider....?...right......

@yen_powell, you say that is you being "lazy" with the picture taking, lol..... I like your idea of lazy, honestly, lots of great photos. ? Also some lovely roads for riding, thanks for sharing.

Oh Bob, now my undercover operation is totally blown.....? Thanks dude!... I was trying to sneak in with a good front, now what....I'll need to go into hiding for awhile....

Has nothing to do with the seat, they are rather comfy.... It would be more like driving a tractor around the ring, actually I have seen tractors that could kick the Himalayan's butt......?
-
That is slightly unsettling.....strange times
-
The Himalayan would be painful riding around the ring, oh sure it can do it. Maybe on Scooter day with breaks for tea, then it would be lovely..... ?

So just when you had told everyone how much it sucks and we should only go if and but and this and that.... ....you are now thinking about it..... ?
-
You and me both, the roads around my place are bumpy rides always.....

Shutters are looking good! But damn, that is a nice wooden tool box, very nice!

I'm sure there are a few ladies out there that didn't listen to their mothers and are real beauties now....?

I don't know if that sounds any better......?

It is getting strange now, everywhere I turn there is the Nürburgring... It started with Sabine Schmitz's death and watching some of her old videos around the ring. Then reading these posts got me thinking about my future travels. Especially after meeting people who have actually driven around the the ring. Finally to top it off an old friend (from Germany) calls me out of the blue and says he might be moving back after living in Canada for awhile and I could stay at his place in Germany. Destiny awaits....The ring calls.....?
