  1. Had a great ride on Bagheera today. It was rainy, so the forest was extra fun, but muddy. ? The roads are starting to warm up from the cold so the top layer of dirt is like creamy sludge, very slippery, but fun. Went to Phare Lake to enjoy the quiet and the view, which is so nice on a misty day. There were five swans swimming at the one end. The camera I had didn't pick them up very well, but you can kind of see them. It's the first time I have seen so many together in this area. Really cool. This place also has it's amenities sorted, a nice organized camp site with beer bottles for return all stacked nicely and a toilet with a view all ready to go. Only in Canada I was very happy (from the ride, not the amenities, I squat, like a real woman...lol) and so were the Himalayans, but they were soooo dirty when we got home. All part of the fun! Great ride. ? A short video of the day!
  2. You are right @Pedro, a few, but good entries. Just a side note, my bike is a CB500F. (So F not S).
  3. Some of those shots in black and white would look proper scary.
  4. Bagheera got all dirty today, just the way he likes it. ?
  5. YEAHHHH!! He started and I got exactly what I wanted. A super nice forest ride in the rain! I think I might even have a ride report. But so dirty now......
  6. Looks like a nice ride. Some great photos too. Looks so much like some of the areas around my place.
  7. It is a bit warmer today, rainy, but still not too bad for a forest run. Now, fingers crossed Bagheera will start.
  8. lol....considering how my Himalayan came, I just assumed something would break. 3 weeks would have been torture.... I know that about new tires and wet roads, but still, ALL NEW....plays in your brain and you just think you will drop it....lol. Funny enough I have now been out in super heavy rain and I was just singing along.
  9. Now there are some lovely muddy roads, not too much, but still squishy... You should put one of those pics in the BOTM thread. (if you have and I missed it, sorry, still waking up)
  10. No ride on delivery day, by the time I went and got insurance and got back home, it had started to rain. I was too nervous/excited to take out a new bike with new tires on a cold wet January day. I knew the dealership would take care of any issues if they did come up later, so I waited for a nicer day. ?
  11. Lovely landscape. Looks like a great ride.
  12. As most of you are snuggled in your beds, I sit sipping some lovely cognac, as I managed to get my latest video done. ? It's rather silly that I care, but I like to be consistent with my uploads. It's a strange creative process I go through and I guess I like it. Anyways, as I sit talking to a bunch of people who are asleep......hey, does that mean I can insert "ideas" into your heads as you all sleep.....
  13. Introducing Charlotte - My New 2020 Honda CB500F I would like to introduce you to my new tarmac toy, a 2020 Honda CB500F named Charlotte. ?? I took delivery of her on January 29th from the friendly folks at Carter Motorsports in Vancouver and have been having a blast with her ever since. I am really happy to have a Honda again, and a CB in particular. My first bike was a 1984 Honda CB650 Custom, which I loved very much. I have a feeling Charlotte will also be very special. ? My Royal Enfield Himalayan, Bagheera is now going to be mostly for backroads and gravel travel, which is where he is happiest.
  14. Greetings from the Grasshopper ??
  15. Not that it matters in the least to anyone, but with my stressful week lifted from my brain, my inspiration is back! I was going to scrap my latest video project the other day, as I was rather grumpy.....lol But I went back to it today and I think I have made something out of very little. I'll post it later for your viewing pleasure!
  16. Had a lovely long ride on Charlotte yesterday. I really needed to ride, so I decided to go for a coffee, at the farthest away coffee shop from home. ? Once the coffee was acquired we went on a walk around Gibsons. Had a view of the marina with a rather scary looking cloud overhead. This is where most people dock in the area and you can see in the distance some of the super fancy houses around here. Thought of you @Bruce with all those boats around. Around here if there is something to decorate they do. This retaining wall had some nice local native art to keep things colourful. But this staircase down to the water looked a bit steep for some old folks. After the coffee we headed to the Bay to enjoy the view for a few, but it was way too busy, so off we went. I was sad, we went through a super pretty area in Gibsons but my camera failed. The poor thing has been through hell with me, so no surprise. I did manage to capture a bit of the ride. I am going to put this bit into my new YouTube video introducing Charlotte, but here is a sneak peak! Enjoy and thanks for reading my ride report. ?
  17. It might not be the most colourful of landscape but I still like it a lot. Those old dwellings in the mountain side are super cool. Nice riding!
  18. Me too, have not gone for a ride yet with it on. Watch me have buffeting now, lol.
  19. Right then, I'll find a few photos this weekend that might work and you can decide. ?
  20. The weekend didn't start so well for me. I had a bad week, the kind where stress kicks your ass and then laughs at you and you slowly die on the floor. ANYWAYS....not to be a downer. So I took the day to get better and spent a few hours just riding Charlotte, the best medicine one can get. Then did some cleaning when we got home and put her new windshield on. Hope to take Bagheera out tomorrow and if the weather is nice, get out in the yard and do some winter clean up from all the wind storms.
  21. I put on the new windshield I purchased for Charlotte today. I think she looks much better and rather lovely. BEFORE AFTER
