Great report and piccies! Only a true biker can turn 70 km into 200 km. It's a gift that not many have.
  2. They had it locked up due to Covid-19, it's usually open. Very spartan inside and not very big at all.
  3. Come on up for some riding someime - not that far away.
  4. About 500 miles for the day - a good day out.
  5. Stopped by a lake and did some light off roading to get down to it's shore. After these pics, it was time to quit fuckin' around and haul for home...
  6. At this point we were about 240 miles from my house. I needed to turn around and head back while Larry headed north. Stopped by an old trading post, but it was clsoed...
  7. Dunno why they call it the Antler Inn...and I had a funny feeling that someone was watching me eat...
  8. Brief stop at the Antler Inn in Walden for some chow...
  9. Zooming right along, over Cameron Pass....
  10. Passed through the Poudre River Canyon, past Howling Wolf Rock and northwards...
  11. Railed on for a bit as we were in a bit of a hurry. Next stop was Masonville at the Masonville Store. Odd place; they sell antique / vintage women's clothing and beer. Can't quite figure that one out. Weird biker sculpture across the street...
  12. Had a friend in from Washiungton state, he stopped over night befoire heading north to Montana. I agreed to take him as far north as I could before having to head back home. First stop was the rock church in Allenspark. Built around 120 years ago, dunno why it's out in the midst of nothing. Didn't want to get any closer; afraid of lightning strikes, etc...
  13. Damn that looks good. Couple of beers and tub full of stew would be nice!
  14. That'd stink up the entire castle
  15. He needs a new mechanic - not a parts changer
  16. Perma-snow, it;s not going anywhere. Aspen is so fake, very much like LA as most of the people there are from LA. I try to stay outta the place as much as possible. It's fun to take visitors there though - so they can see all of the pretentious people for themselves. But I needed fuel so Aspen it was.
  17. And a little bit of dirt riding before returning home. End of a decent day's ride...
  18. And I saw some abandoned homes & farm on the way back. No noises from inside this time...
  19. Worth it just to be able to ride these...
  20. You know when you're in Apsen when the pickup trucks and Ford Explorer's quit trying to run you over. It;s replaced with Porsches and Lambo's trying to run you over. Got some fuel at European prices ($5.00 per gallon). Much cheaper - around $2.25 per gallon, in my town. Randon shots at the fuel station...
  21. Gotta get a trailer like for the Tenere. Okay, maybe not...
  22. Posted some pics of this pass before, but here it is again...
  23. Passed this old gas station about 1,000 times and always said I'd stop someday. Today was the day. I was taking pics when I heard a lod crash sound from what looks like the old dwelling there - it came from inside. Either something fell over or someone was moving around in there - didn't make a difference as I quickly got the Hell outta there. I expected to see a shotgun barrel sticking out of the door and aimed in my direction....
