  1. We'll be expecting some ride report pics?
  2. Expecting 8-12 inches tonight, ( and no, I don't need to hear "That's what she said" jokes ? ). Hopefully the forecast is off by a bit and it misses us....
  3. What a coincidence - I have found that I really suck at editing.?

    Previous Bikes

Old bikes that I still have, but just don't ride that much anymore....
  5. Looks like a hiking path that motorcycles aren't suppposed to be on. Very narrrow.
  6. I've always had Tourances on my GS - they were a great road tire, but not so much off road.
  7. Yeah, it's a bit of a hike to do in 2 days. I've done that ride many times and wouldn't be looking forward to it at all.
  8. I'v no idea how they come up with these ratios. Dave in the marketing department probably throws a dart at a board or something.?
  9. They sell them as 50/50 but I'd believe they're more like a 80/20 leaning towards street use more. Felt really odd on the freeway coming home last night - wandering a bit off of a straight line. But that could have been my suspect riding skills or the fact that they're a new tire I'm not used to. Bit of a humm from the front at 40-50 mph, but that's expected.
  10. I have three guys from Ohio arriving tomorrow - after their 1,300 miles of shit riding across the Midwest (Kansas sucks more than anything in the World) in two days. They'll stay here for a night or two before continuing on westward. Will probably ride with them for a bit Sunday before splitting off and returning home. Pics to follow, of course.
  11. Has anyone tried these yet? I just a set spooned onto the Super Tenere yesterday - hoping they do well. What sucked me in was the tread depth; which I, rightfully or wrongfully, equate to tire life. Front has a depth of 8.5mm and the rear has 11.250 mm tread depth. Seemed to be a bit deeper than some ofthe other on/off road tires. Price was acceptable to me at $139 front and $169 rear. So now we wait and see what they're like.
  12. Send him out our way to ride! Same for the rest of you - have a 5 bedroom house in the mountains and any / all are welcome to come hang out and ride for awhile,
  13. $1.85 per US gallon right now. Was $1.25 about three weeks ago though.
  14. We get 30" inches and no one bats an eye. All what you're used to and are prepared for.....
  15. We have snow for at least 7 months on the ground, but I have a 4WD truck so we're only actually "snowed in" for a day or two at a time. Once the plows get their work done, it's not a bother.
  16. Probably around 0 to 6F (-15C) on most mornings. That side of the house is south facing so it gets a lot of afternoon melt when the sun hits it and some big assed icicles form there.
  17. I do some off road riding in Moab when it's too cold here. It;s not far away and we just toss the dirtbikes in the truck and go. It extends our riding season a bit. Pics form a previous trip - snowing at my houise as we load up and 26C in Moab....
  18. And one pic from my phone that I forgot to add. Shot from the fuel station parking lot in Leadville. Not bad scenery for a fuel station!
