Nah - happened pretty fast and never really bothered me for some reason. I thought if that guy was so broke as to rob someone for $40 - then he didn't have money for bullets. I think just about everyone I know has had a weapon pointed at them at some time or another. Not many actually get shot though.

I almost got shot in the head once, but that wasn't really my fault. Would have been a dumb way to die though. In high school, I worked at a petrol station - full service in those days so I had to pump the gas into each car. Anyway, guy pulls up and I fill up his car. He then grabs me and holds a pistol to my head as he snags all of the cash I had on me to make change. Probably only $40 or so. Tells me to run for the station door and not to look back or he'll shoot. Sped off before I could even turn around. Fuckin' wanker.

I'd better lube up ! The map shows 12" but I didn't wanna brag...

Snowing now with 8 inches expected today. Glad I got a ride in a couple of days ago as I won't this weekend.

Private Dumpster - sounds like a hit. Where in Texas is she going? We'll be headed to southwest Texas; Big Bend National Park, Marfa, etc. Hoping it's a lot warmer there!

Sunny side of the mountains wasn't too bad - but the shady side was cold as Hell.

Trust me - they aren't my thing either. But had to get it ready to go on a trip with the wife next week. The Tenere is sitting in the garage, giving me the evil eye for riding the Wang today.

I did. Along with the heated grips. The grips work well enough but the seat doesn't really heat up too much.

Well the wheels didn't fall off after the tire install and the new oil didn't leak out, so I'll call it a successful ride. Next up: Texas!

Cool buildings just going to waste ...

Swung by the soon to be a ghost town of Silver Plume. Bunch of crappy, empty old buildings and a multi-storey brick school that isn't used anymore. Nothing here ...

Started to cloud up again and get cooler, so I headed for home ...

Temps were around 40F /4.5C - so not really warm but warm enough for a short ride. ...

It's been well over 6 months since I last rode, but since I put new tires on the Wang, I thought I'd get it out for a short ride.

Truth be told, I was more worried about my balls than fingers and toes. I could live without fingers and toes. But all parts are where they were before I left so I'm in good shape.

Just got back from my first ride of the year. Been over 6 months since I last rode. Froze my ass off but it was worth it. Ride report coming soon ....
