Followed a couple of 2026-ish test mules up the mountain today. Things were going slow as shit during cold weather / altitude testing. What a boring job that has to be . No idea what kind / make of cars they are...

We got ten inches of "climate change" last night and this morning. I'm sore from shoveling.

Well, she loves you so that proves she doesn't know shit. I rest my case.

Ugly fuckin' dirtbike with a shitty seat according to her. And our feet hit a lot. She's 5'10" and I'm 6'1" so there wasn't a lot of leg room on that bike for her.

Exactly why my wife bought a Goldwing. I'd have never bought one on my own as they don't do much for me. But it makes her happy to ride again. She hated 2 up on the GS and the Tenere. Even after a couple of severe crashes, I never really lost my riding desire / mojo. Have ridden for 54 years and still enjoy it each time. I must have a pretty sad life away from bikes <ggg>.

I think that one glues onto the helmet in a permanent fashion rather than using the removeable brackets that the others have. It's easy to remove the unit for charging, so that's good. Looks to have shorter range which you don't care about if you're going to use it for just yourself. Should be a good piece of kit.

That's the one I have - it's okay but not great at speed.

I've used the Cardo units for about 3 years now - they work very nicely for phone, gps instructions, etc. Music is okay when you're at slow speeds but kinda sucks over 70 mph. Not a lot of bass , either. As far as talking to others, it works well up to about 80 mph on my Super Tenere (short windshield) and better on the Goldwing. Be sure to get the newer "Edge" model as it detaches from the mount easier and is easier to charge while detached from the helmet.

I don't care how much it snows today, it's Friday and that means Mexican food and beers tonight with the wife. No amount of snow will keep me home.

Yup, should be safe,

But it is Western USA

Sorted. Gotta start warming up my back muscles for the big dig out on Sunday.

Wife's car (2022 Cadillac XT5) has a rather large keyless fob with an remote start feature. Pretty nice to have in cold weather. Nice to hop in a car with warm seats and steering wheel.

Apparently it's gonna pitch like a summbitch here today / tomorrow with a bit of a breeze thrown in for good measure.

Just did an image search on that - it is pretty cool looking. Need to get a trip over to go look at some of the sites you guys talk about.

Not Welsh, but here's a local one that messes up the tourists; Saguache . As in Saguache County, Saguache Mountains, etc. Pronounced locally as "sa - watch". Like most weird names in western USA, it's an Indian name (Ute tribe). Meaning "Blue Earth"

It's peppermint flavored Xmas beer - who the fuck drinks that????
