  1. Fack me! Sounds like no fun at all. There can be only one remedy....
  2. The worst part about cold weather driving is that your shock absorbers don't work. It's like driving a hard tail bike - so suspension at all.
  3. A balmy -17C here - can't believe you're still sick. What's it been? A Month?
  4. End of the day at the local. Ahhhhhhh...
  5. A roaring crowd of about 25 people on hand to watch the girl's team play. It's sunny out today - although cold - I could be out doing other things....
  6. Supervising yet another basketball game at the local high school today. I may slash my wrists later for some fun.
  7. Iowa is one large cornfield with interspersed hog farms. Weather is atrocious; stupidly hot and humid summers with cold and windy winters. Very flat and featureless - look at a map of the State - all of the roads are dead straight and go on for miles. In recent years, the number of meth-heads in the towns gas skyrocketed. Rural Iowa isn't all that bad as far as the people go though.
  8. Having been to Iowa on multiple occasions and also having had the misfortune to actually live there for a short while, I can say, without reservation, that your Dad was a very smart man.
  9. Got the new weather vane up. Probably have to go feed it around 5:00 PM....
  10. Define "near" - by Euro standards I'd say no. By US standards I'd say yes. We have some closer to the front of our house but not a lot out back.
  11. Bright sunny day today - looking out from the kitchen window.
  12. I'll admit it - I'm a whore. I'll do just about anything for money.
  13. It's gonna be so nice out that I'm going for a ride!!!
  14. Oh yeah, we have lots of 200 miles long stretches of road with no services, really gotta plan out your fuel stops. Not much of anything out there. And it gets worse into Utah, Wyoming and Montana. Have been on trips where others have run out of fuel as their bikes don't have very good range.
  15. I have no idea. Most state borders have rivers or mountains defining them. That square area must be the random lines that were sold / stolen way back when. Nothing there except the town of Amarillo - I have a bike trip scheduled to go there in late April - if I can get the bike out. I shall endeavor to find out why it is shaped like that.
  16. -22C this morning - no ridinmg for me today.
