  1. This building looked like it was well built back in the day....
  2. Sunday we got out and about early and ventured off onto to some dirt trails. Saw an old cabin with interesting construction features like a stone foundation. Can even see the moon in the last pic in the cloudy skies over Montana....
  3. I've been busy looking for old, abandoned buildings....
  4. Almost forgot to post a pic of the Montana state welcome sign. This is what they should look like. Ya hear that Wyoming?
  5. It was n ice, smooth dirt / rock roads as well. Hard to beat.
  6. It did. We were the only ones in there the past two nights. Barkeep is only there from 4:40 until about 6:30 PM. Just no demand, I guess.
  7. More tomorrow as we head south of Great Falls, Montana and into some more hills.
  8. Rode my formally clean bike until it was filthy and ended our day at the hotel bar. A perfect day of ridding

  10. We did about 125 miles on this road - no one out there aside from us. Almost heaven....
  11. Waters in the creek were beyond clear - could see right though to the bottom...
  12. Today was much better some off road / dirt road riding in the middle of nowhere. My kind of riding...
  13. All of the US soldiers were buried in a mass grave and this marker was installed on top of them. Custer was later reburied at West Point Military Academy....
  14. Lots of US horses got killed as well...
  15. There are a few markers for Indians as well, but not very many....
  16. Custer's arrogance cost him and his men their lives. What an asshole....
  17. Custer and the remaining gang made it to distant hilltop only to be surrounded by thousands of pissed off Indians. They all fell here at the Last Stand...
  18. Yesterday consisted of crossing Montana at 90 mph+ in rain and strong winds. What a party that was. Didn't take too many pics. But I did get to stop at the Little Big Horn Battlefield site, where infamous General George Armstrong Custer got his ass handed to him by Sitting Bull. Seems George and his gang of about 400 soldiers thought it was a good idea to attack 10,000 Lakota Indians on their home turf. Didn't work out well for George, et al. There are markers where each soldier fell as the Lakota chased them for 5 miles across the hills, culminating in Custer's Last Stand on hilltop where they were wiped out. Small groups of markers where the first soldiers died...
  19. More tomorrow. I'm headed out to find some food in this no restaurant havin' town.
  20. Got to my hotel at 5:00 PM. Lucky thing - it was packed and I was lucky to get a room. It;s a crap room, but a room nonetheless....
  21. Are ya sure there's "No Services" ?
  22. I really wanted to get on this dirt road and see where it went, but no time...
  23. And then the real fun starts - 200 miles of this to get to my hotel for the night. Barely had enough fuel....
