  1. And summer is only 2-1/2 months long! Amazing that they could build these things at all. I sure as shit couldn't do it.
  2. Cool ride - we followed the river for about 50 miles. Good views and a nice road to ride....
  3. Late in the day so we follow the river and a route back to our hotel....
  4. And another town even had an inconvenience store....
  5. Little town (if 4 houses constitute a "town") had it's own railway museum!
  6. Rock roads look smooth from a distance, but have some nasty surprises waiting for you and your rims....
  7. Yup. If you had to build a cabin by yourself and maybe a wife to help, you'd build it outta wood as it's easy to do and there's a shitload of trees around, No stonemasons out in the wild to help you.
  8. Todd saw a bear and we stopped to take a pic but it had fucked off by then. Probably a good thing for us.......
  9. Kept waiting on a bear to come outta the woods and eat Todd, but it never happened. Maybe next time....
  10. Not really in the "mountains" in this area, just small hills. But there were no other people for miles around and the solitude was kinda cool...
  11. Did a couple of hours of dirt road riding to get out in the boonies....
  12. This building looked like it was well built back in the day....
  13. Sunday we got out and about early and ventured off onto to some dirt trails. Saw an old cabin with interesting construction features like a stone foundation. Can even see the moon in the last pic in the cloudy skies over Montana....
  14. I've been busy looking for old, abandoned buildings....
  15. Almost forgot to post a pic of the Montana state welcome sign. This is what they should look like. Ya hear that Wyoming?
  16. It was n ice, smooth dirt / rock roads as well. Hard to beat.
  17. It did. We were the only ones in there the past two nights. Barkeep is only there from 4:40 until about 6:30 PM. Just no demand, I guess.
  18. More tomorrow as we head south of Great Falls, Montana and into some more hills.
  19. Rode my formally clean bike until it was filthy and ended our day at the hotel bar. A perfect day of ridding
  20. Yet again , we almost ran outta fuel as none was to be had for miles....
  21. We did about 125 miles on this road - no one out there aside from us. Almost heaven....
  22. Waters in the creek were beyond clear - could see right though to the bottom...
