  1. Stopped by an old gold mine ore chute - where they once loaded gold ore onto horse drawn wagons....
  2. We didn't have to go far, this is about 2 miles from my house...
  3. Up early today and went out in search of some dirt roads to ride. Found some!
  4. @Richzx6r Sorry to hear, condolences.
  5. Still early today - about 5:30 AM as I type this. We're headed out to ride in a couple of hours once it warms up. Pics to follow....
  6. They several different types of food available at walk up windows. My wife was there so ended up getting a platter of sushi. Not a huge fan, but I'll eat it...
  7. Taps. Card scanners below the drain and a screen telling you about the beer in the tap. As you pour, it gives you a cost per ounce and cost per pour. Not sure I liked that - reminds you what an alcoholic you are and how much it';;s costing you.
  8. Wondered through downtown Golden and fell into the Golden Mill for dinner and beers. Weird place; you give them your credit card and then they give you a card that works in all of their card reader's. Then you walk up to one of the 30 taps in the place and pull your own beer. Most of the seating is outdoors on a large balcony above the river through town...
  9. My buddy Todd, (one of the guys that went with me on the California trip earlier this year), came to our house this weekend and brought his bike along. Plan is to do some light off road riding over next couple of days. We had as stop by the local liquor store to but some beers and booze for his friends back home in Missouri. Tipsy's Liquor has the biggest beer selection ever; two beer caves and 60 coolers! Todd got some rare beers for his bud's - one cost $31 per bottle! I mean, I like beer, but not at $31 per bottle....
  10. He must have moved during the exposure. Still looks creepy though.
  11. I 'd like that pickup truck as well. Sea foam green and cream colors were big back then.
  12. Nope, couple of coats of paint over the years and that's about it. Nothing ever changes around here all that much.
  13. Some more Then and Now pics of my local area. We always called this place the "Schiller Hotel" - I had no idea that it had been named a bunch of other names over the years. Anyway, found some cool colorized pics of the place. dates range from the 1880's to the 1940's....
  14. Antler's Inn at 17:19 in Walden! We will be staying here on trip next month - on the return from Montana.
  15. Cool! They wen t over Route 14 / Cameron Pass. Pretty decent ride to do. See some pics of it here:
  16. My pineapple shirts look a bit different upon closer inspection as well. Shirt even has a nice concealed carry slot on the inside.
  17. Saturday is the Bike MS Colorado Multiple Sclerosis bike ride. I'll be a course marshal on my Tenere along with about 8 other moto guys. It's gonna be like herding kittens to keep the bicyclists on the route. Will try to take some pics to post.
  18. It's funniest one of the made up holidays. Some black college professor made it up and gave it a African sounding name to lend some validity to it. Total bullshit. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kwanzaa (Sorry, I misspelled it above - two "a")
  19. Made up bullshit holiday for the Afro American crowd. Rates right up there with kwanza.
  20. I have to ask; why? Jacksonville is a dump.
  21. Two more bigger trips on plan for this summer. One - up to Montana and back in July. Two - Solo trip to North Carolina and back in late August. Hope to get in some smaller, weekend type trips around here as well.
  22. Probably another reason why they rarely go over 45-50 mph. Slowest guys I've ever ridden with.
  23. Yup. They rode out here via South Dakota so that they could skip Nebraska (which has a helmet law) and not wear helmets the entire way out and back. The noise, wind, sun, bugs and other crap in your face is enough to make me wear one - crash safety issues aside.
