The roads were barren, which was nice. But you didn't dare go too far off of the pavement as the bike would sink in the wet ground...

The valleys were around 45F (7C) and the peaks were around 30F (-1C). Not warm but not too bad either with a bright Sun.....

I didn't stray too far from home, so most of my pics look pretty much the same. I have to go pretty far for a change in scenery...

I can't believe I got out to ride twice in April this year. It's usually too cold and crappy out to ride this early. The roads were void of snow and ice but were covered in grit and other crap...

Nice pics! Makes me wanna go get out myself. Looks like a perfect day for it.

That's looks fantastic! Should be a blast to do....except for the camping part. But they do offer rooms as well.

Grasshopper and the Chirpers? We could be a speed metal banjo band playing gospel music.

Free bacon sammich? Worth the ride!

I really like the Dunlop Trailmax Missions on my bike. On my third or fourth set now. Great mileage and they're not overly pricey (at least not here). They work well enough on dirt and don't hop around or hum too much on tarmac.

The State of Colorado has officially ended all restrictions as of Friday (tomorrow). Bars, restaurants are now allowed to go full 100% occupancy (many have already done that). No masks required outdoors and most indoor places aren't asking for them to be on either. So, for the time being anyway, it appears to be over for us. Some local, lefty type communities (Boulder) might have local restrictions in place though.

There are some great roads out there, just not visited by many as it doesn't really go anywhere.

Yes! There's always a ton of mountain bikers out there as well. That's why I think the store would be a great place for an adventure cabin / beer joint stop. They just need to develop it in a new direction.

Don't get the beef jerky - not so sure it's actually beef.

We fueled up once we got to town and then immediately hit the interstate to blast the 250 miles to home. It was 81F (28C) when we left and 24F (-1C) three and a half hours later when I got home. Froze my ass off getting home. And we're expecting 8+" of snow tomorrow while it's still gonna be 80F in Grand Junction. It's enough to make ya mad. Final day video from Phil once it's available.

It's funny how from town, the Monument doesn't look like much. And from the Monument, town doesn't look like much. Wonder how it looks from above?
